These are really cool ideas. I used to do Tarot readings for the characters in my games to help write the following week's adventure/encounters pretty much in the same manner as described by BullMarkOne.

How bout an advanced Chaos Beast? There was a dungeon adventure that I ran ( that had an advanced one (24 HD I believe) with some unique abilities that were cool. That one was pretty scary for my players; nice Cthulhu feel.

Guess the items don't need to be magical, unless I want them to be. Still the question of how to steal them.

When I first saw the beguiler class I thought it could make a great "fake-rouge" or "hidden-caster". If you took the first level in rouge (for the skill points) and put a lot of ranks in disable device and search and then beguiler from then on, you would be the inconspicous rougish looking guy...

Inspire courage provides 2 bonus hit dice (d10s) and the deserved amount of hit points (plus any CON bonus that the subject has). Are you expected to just roll the d10s at the time of the ability is used, or is the average generally taken? Anyone know where I could find this information? Thanks.
