I vaguely seem to remember an article from way back when discussing some sort of tesseract dungeon if this is what you are thinking of; although, I do not recall where the article first appeared.
Irilian ... first appeared in White Dwarf back in the early 1980s. Easiest way to pick up a copy is if you can find a reasonably priced copy of Best of White Dwarf Scenarios #3
The Best of White Dwarf Scenarios #3 - RPGnet RPG Game Index
Well ... if someone wants to add outdoor elements, my recommendation would be to check out Woodland Scenics - Model Layouts, Scenery, Buildings and Figures since they have a variety of rock molds, trees, grass, etc.

Goodman should be re-releasing the older DCC modules in PDFs ... especially since the Judges Guild modules released through Goodman Games have already been updated and re-released.
Scott,
Thanks for all of your input in this thread ... after reading through the lengthy posts the following stuck in my mind.
And to answer the implied question this does not mean going back and supporting older editions.
Which, of course, is one thing I would not expect Wizards to do since...
For me, at least, it seems to go in cycles.
Mid 80s ... while in college I was a part of three regular 1E AD&D campaigns and one Champions 2/3E (?) campaign that pretty much ramped up on Friday evenings after dinner and ran through Saturday night with the occasional rest break and snack runs...
Looked over the 4E core rulebooks when they came out and decided it wasn't for me. Sometime in January my current group will be stepping into The Wayback Machine and returning to 2.5E Core Rules with the possible side trek into OSRIC territory as time goes by. Nothing quite like an old school...
Google Books is a good place to search for long out of print books that have been scanned in and are available for download free of charnge. More than one tidbit of inspiration has come from ...
The Castellated and Domestic Architecture of Scotland...
Eh ... me won't complain ... went by computer recycling place a last month and picked up a refurb Kyocera B&W laser printer for $15 with a toner cartridge that is almost completely full. Just in case ... went out on eBay and picked up an extra toner cartridge for $35. Should take care of quick...
Deluxe Hardcover: 8.25" x 10.5" casewrap hardcover, colour cover with colour interior, on standard paper, 402 pages. $100 plus shipping. (I don't expect to sell very many of these but the offer will be there!)
Wanna bet? Considering that I won't be buying any 4E ... I might just be very...
More of my personal top 10 than anything else ...
- Tome of Horrors (Necromancer Games)
- Rappan Athuk Reloaded (Necromancer Games)
- Wilderlands of High Fantasy Box Set (Necromancer Games/Judges Guild)
- City State of the Invincible Overlord (Necromancer Games/Judges Guild)
- A Magical...
No real effect here ... my overall purchasing has slowed down over the past year with 3.5e winding down and 4e ramping up. The last round of purchases was to fill in some gaps in my Kingdoms of Kalamar collection and after the first of the year I plan on double checking my 1e modules to see...
Is this the infamous one with the Cthulhu deities in it?
Nope ... 1e Legends & Lore is the 3rd printing or so of Dieties & Demigods. 1st printing had Cthulhu & Melboine in it, 2nd printing had the crux of the text removed, but still had mention of Cthulhu and Melbine one one of the front...
Whats yoinkable from Warhammer for DnD?
If you can find copis of White Dwarf #1 - 100, or the CD-Rom for Issues #1 - 90 ... this would probably give you the best amount of material for the money. The early issues had a nice variety of AD&D 1e, RuneQuest, Warhammer Fantasy, and MERP.
Not sure if anything White Dwarf published counts, but seeing as Games Workshop was the TSR distributor in the UK back in the day ... the ones that come to mind at the moment are the Houri, Merchant, and Detective tho' I am sure there were others.
