Wow, sorry for the hack job that was my last post! I haven't had a lot of free time lately, but am about halfway through the rulebook. I can't wait to run this game. I have a feeling we are going to have a blast playing as I find myself smiling while reading the rules. Being longtime D&D...

After reading this thread I went out today and used a 30% off one item coupon and picked up Mouse Guard... damn you guys! I mentioned it last week to my D&D 3.5 after discovering this thread on EN World and they thought it sounded fun, so why not!

Downloaded yesterday. This gets me excited to run a new campaign!

I believe it is in Dungeonscape also. It is an alternative class feature called Penetrating Strike.

Entertaining for sure! I've really wanted to start a new game up and pretty much wing everything using this book, Mother of All Encounter/Treasure Tables and some good 'ole fashioned imagination...THAT'S entertainment!!

The Red Box Basic Rules was what I started out with. Playing 3.5 and Castles and Crusades now-a-days. Still use races as classes, still use the same dungeon design symbols, still use some of those same dice...still having fun!

Absolutely LOVE this book. Mine is dog-eared and falling apart from so much use. I use it mostly in my Wilderlands of High Fantasy games for the great wilderness encounters, road types, formations etc. Love the credit tables too!! Would love another copy! -Jimmy

The Dung Monster is pretty awesome!!

Coming home to find out your dog has eaten half of your D&D minis isn't too awesome... But walking him the following day and finding an arm wielding a longsword sticking out of his poo is pretty awesome!

+1 Roleplaying is a pretty personal thing (IMO) that some people are comfortable doing, some people are comfortable doing to a certain extent, and a thing that some do in a way that you and I may not view as roleplaying...but to them they are immersed in the story and helping to drive it...

Well I guess I'm an old dog in a sense...but don't mind learning new tricks :) I do however prefer the modules of old. Even though the newer format is set up so as to be easier to use at the table, I find myself flipping around in the book a heck of a lot more. Guess it really doesn't matter...

New here @ EnWorld and Rel's sig. was a must click...so glad I did! I just finished reading through all of the posts, and this was definitely one of the best threads in gaming msg. board history. I'm starting a new campaign in 2 weeks and this has got me wanting to run a rules light game...

I have to say this is the most used book at our gaming table. Have barely cracked the PHB since I bought this about a year ago... very useful IMO.

I've been running my 3.5 games in the Wilderlands of High Fantasy for about 3 years now and absolutely love it.
