    Trailer Scream 7

Why couldn't the daughter die. Or even more, why not kill Sydney and leave the daughter alive to continue the series if they want? Personally, seeing the trailer and the ghost face guy being shot, then coming back up again reminds me why I don't watch this stuff. Even with him getting back...

OSR New edition of OSE in 2026

It sounds like it will all be in one version this time though, so no need to go through a ton of different books for combat rules, adventure rules and basic classes, then a separate book for addiyional classes...etc.

    AD&D 1E Edition Experience: Did/Do you Play 1E AD&D? How Was/Is It?

That's why I said I think I may have had a proto-type or something. The copy I had a long time ago had the elves deciding what class each time between Fighter and Magic-user. When I asked about it later, no one seemed to know what I was on about and stated the same thing as you have on your...

Doctor Who… Xmas Special in 2026

I think not using the actor to their full potential has been something with the last Two (okay, still two with a haitus between if we count Tennant's brief return stint) Doctors. Whitaker and Ncuti both could have had so much more given and utilized in their terms of being Who.

Subtitles for People That Hate Them

Well, she could always close her eyes and you could use the descriptive text narrator for those who are blind to tell you what was said and what is going on the screen. Not sure that's a great option though.

OSR New edition of OSE in 2026

Well, this could actually be attractive to me. I may be the singular outsider here as it seems many are dismayed by the changes announced. However, for me, if I ever wanted to play BX or BECMI, I'd play one of those. There was no reason for me to ever play a Retroclone (which OSE was). I'd...

    AD&D 1E Edition Experience: Did/Do you Play 1E AD&D? How Was/Is It?

I suppose the mish mash works. I started without even owning any books with a group that already was playing. I didn't get my own copies until later. However, for AD&D, you had to play a mish mash at first. They didn't have the DMG and such stuff, or at least I didn't have it when the PHB...

    Pulp RPGs General Thread [+]

Only ones I've played Pulp in would be Amazing Adventures (which was listed) and D20 Modern (which can be utilized to play a Pulp game very easily). I'd think anything Cthulu (so CoC would count) would also fall under Pulp...though I haven't played CoC myself. I have played Arkham Horror though.

    D&D General 5e H E L P! Teacher in need of rescue!

Hmmm.....Not 5e... But Pathfinder 1e had some intro adventures that were between 1 to 3 pages (depends on whether you include maps and illustrations as part of the page count) for their beginner Box that were supplementals for it, but were free online. However, that may be too hard to convert...

OSR OSR-inspired video game, The Secret of Weepstone, has a trailer

Is it available on GOG? No? Oh well, looked like it could be fun.

    I made a terrible life decision…

That poor Edge of Empire Starter Set. The only item on your shelf I don't think I've seen before was that Star Trek RPG box set. I've seen the books, but never knew they had a box set for the Star Trek RPG. It may be that I really didn't start being interested as much in Star Trek (extras...

D&D General What Are Dragonlance's Weis & Hickman, and Actor Manganiello Cooking Up?

What, we just forgot about Theros Ironfeld?

D&D General What Are Dragonlance's Weis & Hickman, and Actor Manganiello Cooking Up?

The party in Dragonlance are from all over though. They aren't even from the same region, much less the same village. They are a motley crew of adventurers that have been gathered to Solace, but their origins are from all over.

D&D General What Are Dragonlance's Weis & Hickman, and Actor Manganiello Cooking Up?

Maybe not alone, but it helps people to relate to the cast. A broader representation which brings in multiple ethnicities and races makes more people relate to a cast than simply a monochrome approach. For example, I, as a PoC, would love to see Caramon and Raistlin as PoC's. Why not? I...

    D&D 5E (2014) Monk's Unarmoured Movement Improvement & Climbing Speed

So good to know that when I was younger and climbing mountains...somehow I avoided the 5e rule that I would fall off the mountain rather often, only being able to climb to a point where I'd fall and lose 1d6 (at least) HP of damage. I mean...who would imagine that I would have the super power...

D&D General What Are Dragonlance's Weis & Hickman, and Actor Manganiello Cooking Up?

If we are going to change the ethnicities of Characters from Dragonlance I propose the following... Caramon and Raistlin are Black. I relate more to these guys anyways, so make it so. Goldmoon and Riverwind probably could be Native American? Or make them Scandinavian Barbarians/Vikings...

2024 D&D Core Rulebooks Off to "Strongest-Ever" Start for D&D Books

On numbers, the general rule I've been told is to take the number of Players stated and divide that by 5. Hence, it is generaly 1 PHB per 5 players as an estimate. This is one reason early on I questioned some of the numbers WotC/Hasbro were releasing (and for a while, they cut back on the PR...

2024 D&D Core Rulebooks Off to "Strongest-Ever" Start for D&D Books

Maybe, I don't know. I have no idea why they would be pushing that D&D anniversary is a failure. Financially, it was obvious it would boost sales in the short term. Maybe they are looking at it more in the 4e way? 4e sold faster than D&D 3e or 3.5 at first, and some would say it was the...

2024 D&D Core Rulebooks Off to "Strongest-Ever" Start for D&D Books

I think what they mean is that their words on D&D do not really mean anything. For example, I knew before the Core books were even released that they would boost Hasbro Sales of D&D for at least the next. year (I believe if you look far enough back you can even see my predictions on it in these...

D&D General Favorite Forgotten Realms products of all time?

The one that is absolutely necessary beyond the 3e FRCS is the Grand History of the Realms. One of the best Lore books for the Realms ever released (after being compiled on the web...of course).
