How do you compare? What color is your most-used set of dice?

I have my black dice with purple lettering, and am starting to get a metal dice set bit by bit in the random dice bins. One day. One day.

If you had to cut two core races from your game....

In my humble opinion, Half Elves have to go. Then Half-Orcs. I hadn't even thought of a heritage feat, but that serves to show, just how little these races would be missed. I cannot see a D&D world with out the small races. To be troubled by "small" weapons seems odd, but hey, everyone gets...

Do you enjoy open-ended campaign settings?

I would prefer open ended, but not to an retarded degree. I would like the books to leave room for DM's to put as many details into a world as we want. FR has too much stuff to easily drop PC's into something other than on rails FR. -for that matter- I really like the idea of a campaign...

    Size of character parties

5 PC's 1 DM. No cleric, two primary fighter classes... could really use that cleric right about now. :\

    Drinking and gaming?

We drink, a few of us smoke (outside), and we eat snack food as well. I guess we are just one big vice. (it should go without saying that we don't get drunk... you cannot D&D drunk.)

If IKEA Made a Dedicated Gaming Table, Would You Buy It?

I would buy one under a few conditions. 1.) Gamer niches. I want everyone to have table area on both sides of them, possibly with pencil or dice areas. Imagine how cool it would be to have a dice rolling area beside each PC. 2.) More table surface around the DM, lots of areas with "pop-up"...

RPGs: Would you prefer a textbook or periodical model?

IMHO, I want to buy Core Rule Books hardbound, no adds, straight and concise. Everything else, be it a Complete book, a Fiend Folio, whatever I don't care, as long as all of the game related content is in the same place. My wife has her fashion magazines like that, front and back loaded with...

Which class is the most useless?

How do you go about that? I have been trying to build a non-sucky bard for awhile now...

A typical dwarven home, an architectural discussion

Yeah, acctually I like your idea just fine. It was mostly like what I had in mind, except your rooms are round and mine were square. The one thing I would want to know is where the bathrooms are? I know they are never acctually discussed in D&D, but it always bugs me that there are never any...

Which Is The Stronger Character Class - Sorcerer or Wizard?

I personally prefer the wizard. Mostly because if I were to find a scroll I can transcribe the spell into my book and use it forever, as opposed to the one time. I like knowing that if I so chose my wizard could have every spell available to him. But in the end I think it come down to play...

    Core Religions in Actual Play

It has been a while since playing a game with these gods in it. But I remember a cleric to Kord or Pelor in most of them. I have played both, as well as worshippers of Wee Jas, Baccob, Moradin, Garl, and Yondalla. However, Pelor is always because of meta-gaming, to get access to the heal domain.

Core Religion Survivor - Round Fourteen

Hextor. He needs to go, and it looks like I might finally have the chance to see it happen. I say Wee Jas needs to win, I would have picked somebody different, but out of the three there is no contest.

Core Religion Survivor - Round Thirteen

I say out of the four left Wee Jas should be the last one standing.

DM's: Are you afraid to kill PC's because of how players might react?

Nope, not in the slightest, the only time I hesitate to kill a PC is if it will drastically take away from the story. 1.) They start at the average party level, they start with the amount of gold an NPC would have at that level, and no more than half of that gold can go into one item. 2.)...

Long periods of downtime in genre novels

I don't know if it is the kind of epic fantasy you are looking for but the Sword Of Truth books feature some down time. I recall in one of the books there was an entire half a year off, while the warring armies waited for the weather to get less winter-y.

Is an "all caster" party feasible?

I have run several campaigns with only clerics, set in the FR, usually within a single church, and one person might multiclass after a half dozen levels or so. However, they were always only spellcasters until lvl 5 each time, so yes, not only is it possible to run a campaign as you described...

Should prestige classes be better than base classes?

I voted no. I think that the prestige classes should not be any better, nor any worse than the base classes. The PHB stated that the fighter should be the ultimate martial class, and I think that is awesome. Someone who takes fighter for 20+ lvls should have the most hulking beast on earth...

How Do You Deal With Splatbooks?

I will generally let anything published by WotC through, except for psions. I think they are great and all, but I just never had anyone play one right. Other publishers I just don't let in unless the material wins me over on a case-by-case basis.

    A Riddle: Feedback Wanted

I liked it, although I would have the door go to a treasure room of some sort, and magically seal it so that the players at their level cannot get into it too easily. Then if they don't get it fine, they can move on, if they do they are rewarded. If they get in by some means other than the...
