But... but if its my opinion it doesn't matter if its factually incorrect or not...
Opinion sure is doing alot of lifting in this converssation.
If you are basing your claims about the product on the OP well that has been shown to contain multiple factual inaccuracies... You've chosen to...
Read it... or better yet do some minimal research on the internet if suggesting something thats untrue is really all that important to you...if not maybe its better not to make uninformed assertions.
Not at all what I said... I asked you what value your uninformed oppinion adds to the conversation... didnt comment on whether you should or shouldn't have it.
Not to mention... its called out to look there when attacking with a spell in the "Read Me First"... which I assume all the inexperienced players should have went over.
But you're not just learning about it or asking for information... you're commenting with no actual firsthand information or experience with it... you do this with D&D products all the time and its always just negativity.
Ok correction...You dont play or buy anything D&D... this is a thread specifically about a D&D product (not a general thread about the wider hobby or your version of 5e) so without any actual investment in the product and little to no firsthand knowledge of it... what is the purpose of your...
Who did this? I see a ton of corrections around the OP's mis-information that was presented about the set... but who is badwrongfunning (what does that even mean in the context of this thread?) the OP.
Ok but...
1. You dont play 5e so is this just a thought excercise, a chance to poo poo on an excellent WotC product or what?
and
2. Nothing in the set forces you to play Round Robin style... its given as an option.
First its presented as a suggestion for this starter set along with stating why the starter set's structure is good for trying out this format... so I'm not sure its necessarily replacing anything.
As for benefits...More people get a chance to try out DM'ing and playing...Thus the number of...
Its a teaching product... why wouldn't they want to teach all aspects of the game to all involved? And yeah the product suggests a round robin style of play.
Ok I just want to point out that in the "Read Me First" booklet it tells you there is a section on the character card called "What you need to play" that lists out all the equipment and spell cards a class needs... you keep claiming info isnt in the set that is specifically called out in the set...
So it did in fact come with rules.
That's not all it says but ok...
On page 5 of the PG... #11 on the character card is called out as the box referenced whenever a character makes an attack with a weapon or spell... thats where Spell DC is located.
No its not... but it is exactly where the...
Character creation (modified for the boards/cards/pregens) is located in the "Read Me First" booklet. Honestly if the OP hadnt claimed to have 4 diifferent copies I'd believe they got a very faulty copy of the boxed set.
Yeah I have the set and I'm totally confused by this rant and what it's claiming... especially because they are saying there wasn't a single play guide among 4 different sets... That seems...unlikely, maybe user error.
Also why would there be an assumption that a QR code in a sealed boxed set...
On a personal level, id like to know...
1. When I can get a print run with eratta incorporated
2. Why there have been (I believe) 3 or 4 print runs ( of which I've bought 2 copies of DH) and had no eratta incorporated in the newer "printing"
