Could be, but you can play Chasing Adventure today. This DW 2e is still at least a year in the future, if not more. And who knows how it will be received (too few changes, too many changes, other stuff...?). I mean, you can wait if you want. But you don't have to if what you are searching for...

It also doesn't have all the issues associated with Dungeon World or Luke Crane. I had waited for a new DW like game for a long time, and Chasing Adventure delivers that. If this 2e had happened some years ago, maybe? But now it's just too late.

I think this is an apples to oranges comparison as this is not a Sandersons owned IP, like Mistborn was. Also, the Dragon Prince RPG is much newer than the old Mistborn game, it is good and alive with Direwolf Games (the new owners of Cortex, but also publishers of a lot of other boardgames like...

Dragon Prince has a Cortex game currently out, which is pretty recent, would be pretty surprising to see a Plotweaver version of it at the same time.

Agreed! While I love his workbuilding, I think it is there to serve the story, not the other way around. I really like the plots and characters of his books, but it is easier to talk about the setting to avoid spoiling anything.

Do we need something else to play? Or is the boxset enough by itself?

This is the main thing that stops me from writing more RPG stuff. I know I can write and speak English enough for regular day to day stuff, but I know that if I write 2000 words, it's going to have small things that don't sound totally right to a native speaker, same as when I speak people...

FFG re-uses art assets constantly in their boardgame lines, and as a player I don't really have a problem with it. Edit: other art assets you can see re-used in DriveThru and DM Guild are the free art packs from Sine Nomine Publishing (Kevin Crawford), some of the art from his games...

I think it's similar in other places too. My wife is a researcher in academia, and she has published articles under her maiden name, under her first marriage name, and now under her new marriage name. None of the previous published articles were updated to her new name.

For the people who like MERP, there's a modern clone called "Against the Darkmaster" which is incredibly good. Just released too. About ToR 2e, very excited for this. I really liked the 1e, the material for the game was really good. And hopefully we will get the Moria book (box?) soon.

Printing 3D terrain is much cheaper than anything in the market. Last time I checked my openlock tiles were running at around 90c a tile (just the materials, not counting electricity). Let's round that to $1, I would be happy to be pointed to commercial tiles cheaper than that. I have no...
