This is a very interesting campaign that you play in, where the characters routinely get into conversations with things that speak languages they don't, plus the diplomat is easily distracted, has Tourette's syndrome, and hits on everything. I would like to know more.

Someone on the other DDI thread mentioned using the updated Char Builder XML to import characte data into Maptool. He sounded excited. I haven't used Maptool, but I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't already a lot of 4E user-written stuff for it.

They probably figure that if you're in plate, you value AC more than anything else, so +1 to that should keep you happy.

They probably value them as much as the players value their PCs' hp. Hell yeah. And there are weapon enchantments that let you trade hp for damage, or AC for damage.
