Top 5 RPGs you want to play (player or GM) in 2026?

Assuming I get a chance to play, with young kids in the household again it makes it tricky, but would like to he able to play: 1. Discworld - played their free introductory adventure but has left me wanting more. 2. Warhammer fantasy role playing 4e - have the starter set that I want to try out...

Time travel doesn't exist because time travel wiped out the timelines where it did

Not necessarily scientifically accurate, but amusing and I think related to the thread:

Time travel doesn't exist because time travel wiped out the timelines where it did

I think perhaps you and Umbran are closer on opinion than first appeared. I find the above a clearer outline of your position. Your initial statement seemed to suggest that going back 50 years would lead you to be in vacuum of space, as Tokyo was somewhere different 50 years ago. But that is...

Time travel doesn't exist because time travel wiped out the timelines where it did

In my limited understanding, it feels you are missing Umbrans point. Everything is relative, so there is no absolute point of reference. Thus you can choose any frame of reference you want and work from there. So you could say that the landing point on the Moon or Mars is point zero / the...

    Thread block

Is it possible that the OP has turned on two way ignore recently, so before they may habe had people on ignore, but they could still see / reply to threads, and now turned on two way ignore so people suddenly can't access them anymore? And so ignores may be based on activity some time ago?

Nominate your MOST ANTICIPATED RPG of 2026

I think below counts, I have the PDFs from kickstarter but dont think it is for wide release: Discworld, adventures in Ankh-Morpork by Modiphius https://modiphius.net/pages/discworld-adventures?srsltid=AfmBOoq7OgBZ3gUdryffWReMZe5v-6ISx0PU1lg1ycaFaH2NkCwFScLb

Time travel doesn't exist because time travel wiped out the timelines where it did

That isnt how I understood the video. The accelerating person has a longer spacetime path, as is moving through time and distance, compared to Alice just moving through time. But video specifies that Alice has the maximal / longest proper time, and that Bob will always have a shorter proper...

What are you reading in 2025?

Thanks everyone, had enough Kobo points to get one free and based on initial responses went for Pet Semetary, but will likely also get Salems Lot at some point too :)

What are you reading in 2025?

Finished IT, a very bittersweet ending to a story that could be argued is about the power of friendship. Very good book though, and I like the way it interweaves the two different timelines with the idea that they are slowly recalling the original events. Pennywise a very spooky / dark...

D&D General What Are Dragonlance's Weis & Hickman, and Actor Manganiello Cooking Up?

Possibly depends if you think the Silmarillion is anti elf propaganda? On more serious note, I agree with other posters on this one, doesn't directly say it but original post feels problematic.

What are you reading in 2025?

I love the wheel of Time, but did have issues with 'the Slog', which may be structural as you say. It didnt help that Crossroads of Twilight seemed to run parallel to Winters Heart, rather than covering much new ground. And I found the whole Faile kidnapping dragged on too long / too slowly...

Even if the terms were likely there before the OGL stuff was even a rumor?

What are you reading in 2025?

Currently slowly rereading IT. I think i forget how well Stephen King can write about just everyday human horror, even outside of the supernatural stuff. Carrie to me is really about the horrors of bullying, and IT is half Pennywise being a nasty piece of work, and half humans being nasty...

D&D General What Are Dragonlance's Weis & Hickman, and Actor Manganiello Cooking Up?

Yeah, you do have a point there, it is an unfortunate state of affairs through. Ideally we'd break the idea of the elves being beautiful and admirable though, as they aren't for most part, Laurana is something of an exception. I dont recall the elves in general being described as that good...

D&D General What Are Dragonlance's Weis & Hickman, and Actor Manganiello Cooking Up?

Doesn't it depend ultimately on whether presented as a good or bad thing? In the novels at least it is presented as a bad thing, with some of the more hero types, especially Theros, trying to end it. If presented as being good for the Kagonesti, then I think it'd be a problem.

D&D General What Are Dragonlance's Weis & Hickman, and Actor Manganiello Cooking Up?

My understanding of Tolkeins world is that the elves probably tend to good more so than other races, but some notable evil acts were still done by them, like the Kinslayings, Feanor at times, Feanors sons thanks to their oath, Eol and others. They were definitely prideful, but that wasnt shown...

D&D General What Are Dragonlance's Weis & Hickman, and Actor Manganiello Cooking Up?

To be fair, WoT was first published 1990. Crystal shard was late 80s, so could be part of a stylistic change.
