    Talisman 4th Edition

We've found in our games that even with fate, we get quite a few toads. Maybe not as many as before, but there is something extra hillarious when someone decides they don't need that extra strength/craft/spell/fate because they have plenty so spend a fate to reroll and get turned into a toad.

Talk to me abou Blood Bowl (And dwarves)

I love Blood Bowl, and I played dwarves for a short league. Dwarves are great early in the league, but they start to lose that edge as the league goes on. They tend to progress slowly, and it won't be long before your facing elf teams that have block on all their important players. I like to...

    Magical Staff Weapons as Implements

After seeing that character builder add in the enhancement bonus, my DM has decided to allow it, plus since I'm multiclassing into wizard it only affects two of my powers.

    Magical Staff Weapons as Implements

Thanks for the replies. I'll bring it up with my DM.

    Magical Staff Weapons as Implements

I have a cleric right now who is multiclassing into wizard. He just found a +2 Holy Healer's Staff. My question is can he use this as a +2 implement for his wizard powers. Its listed in the weapons section and not the implement section. Thanks.

Tell me about you 4th ed campaigns..

I'm running a Lovecraftian DnD game right now. 4e has actaully catered to my setting nicely. I'm not allowing divine classes, and now that there is other healing classes other than cleric, its not such a huge setback. I switched Tieflings to be more setting appropriate, they now have greenish...

    Marking, bloodied etc.

We use poker chips in our group. Red for bloodied, Green for hunter's quarry, blue for fighters mark, and white for our warlock's curse. You can see them really well, but they are a little bigger than the squares on the mat, so when things get crowded it gets a little confusing.

    I'm a Cleric of...

I'm playing an Eladrin cleric of Correlan multiclassing into wizard. We also have a minotaur fighter multiclassing into a cleric of Bahamut (repenting for past evil deeds), and a paladin of The Raven Queen in our group.

The good, bad and weird of PC names:

I played a librarian in a Call of Cthulhu game named Jim Hogswallow. He didn't last long, rolled a POW of 5.

4e - Dungeon Master Screen Review?

I am very impressed with the DM screen. I just got it and its incredibly sturdy. Its also very easy to read and is well orginzed with all the info I kept wishing I had readily available.

    3.5 breakdown at high levels?

I've been running a high level 3.5 campaign from a book adventure, and after every session I felt like my brain was overloading. The last session I asked a friend to come help me GM, and he basicly kept track of monster hp and saves while the players were taking thier turns while I looked up...

Am I the only one who hates Betrayal at House on the Hill? (Forked Thread)

I like it, but I couldn't play it very often. Its not like A&A which I played every weekend for a while. Its more of a, pull it out on halloween kind of game that is fun for the mood it creates, but the mechanics need work.

    Games you've bought recently?

I won Clue the Card Game in a raffle at a con a while back, but just recently opened it and it turns out that its really fun. Much more fun than the boardgame in my opinion.

    [Board Games] Richard Borg

I have to say that I really like Battlelore. I havn'te played command and colors, but I played the other three and Battlelore was my favorite, although it took until the scenario where lore cards are introduced to realize it.

The best class for solo games

I would go fighter or paladin for 4th ed, multiclassing into cleric. The extra heal would be worth it in my opinion. On a different note, I think solo campaigns have an advantage that they can be tooled closer to the character, so as long as GM and player are working together, you could have...

Board games you own and would recommend

A few of my Favs Axis and Allies: both the Milton Bradley and Avalon Hill editions are great, I don't like any of the spin offs though. Europe and Pacific were ok, D-day was horrible in my opinion, and I havn't played the two most recent ones. Battlelore: A great two person game that doesn't...

4e: are character deaths up or down compared 3E?

Yeah, I killed one character in the first session, and pulled a punch that would have killed two more in the third session. Although, I'm running a Lovecraftian setting where clerics aren't allowed. They do have a Warlord and an Artificer in the group though.
