Nah.
Their 2E entry says Nyraala are golems multiple times, they're definitely Constructs. The Habitat/Society says they're "automatons" and compares them to Brain Golems, which are creatures made of brains statted as Constructs in the 3E Fiend Folio.
While there is one sentence in Ecology...
You've got a URL of http://list of Hengeyokai' in the "list of hengeyokai" above. A quick bit of internet-fu indicates the Piazza Kara-Tur forum is https://www.thepiazza.org.uk/bb/viewtopic.php?t=36598.
Planewalker.com had 3.5 Planar Hengeyokai PCs in the Races chapter of their Planescape...
How's this:
Pungency (Ex): A bielgorad exudes a strong noxious stink. All creatures with a sense of smell within 100 feet of a bielgorad can make free Spot checks (DC 5 plus 1 per 10 feet of distance) to notice the odor. Creatures with bonuses to scent-based skill checks, such as wolves' +4...
Okay, these Giant Mosquitoes are only the size of a very small bird like a Robin* or Wren.
* I mean proper Robin Rebreasts (Erithacus rubecula) like we have over here, not those Thrushes with a makeover they call Robins (Turdus migratorius) in America.
Both Eurasian Wrens (Troglodytes...
Here's the original text for the Tiny sized but still Giant Mosquitoes:
Mosquitoes, giant (20 + 4d6 per swarm): INT non; AL N; AC 5; MV 1, fly 18 (A); HD ½; hp 1-4 each; THAC0 15; #AT 1 per 10 mosquitoes; Dmg see below; SA attacks as 5-HD monster, see below; SZ T (6″-8″ wingspan); ML 18; XP...
Should we tweak the wording of the Krak's Full Attack lines?
They're currently.
But that could be interpreted as it making either a pair of slams plus seven tentacle attacks as option one or seven katana attacks as option two.
It could also mix-and-max tentacle and katana attacks if it...
Updating the Male Krakentua Working Draft and Female Krakentua Working Draft.
I'm fine leaving the constrict at 2d6+6 as per the Working Drafts and using the standard descriptions for the Special Attacks, so have included that in the updates.
The Earthquake Beetle?
Sure, you may suggest it! :p
I've mainly been focusing on oversized versions of normal arthropods but we're open to including bugs from fantasy & myths like the Mystaran Dragonflies we converted.
As you like.
Updated the Wriggler Dire Mosquito Working Draft.
While doing so I noticed a couple of wee errors in this thread's post #234:
Swallow. The wriggler targets is a Small or smaller creature it is grappling. The creature must succeed on a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw or be swallowed...
Yes, I shifted it from singular to plural and missed one of the verbs.
Have updated the Female Dire Mosquito and Male Dire Mosquito plus the Wriggler Working Draft.
That's doable, but we'd need to make the Swallow involve a saving throw otherwise the Wriggler will be making two bite attacks in that round which would increase the DPR into Challenge 1/2 (100 XP) territory.
Come to think of it, if the grapple ends when the wriggler swallows its opponent it...
Righty-ho I've updated the Wriggler Working Draft with a first draft conversion.
Rereading the Polyhedron text I noticed wrigglers can swallow opponents up to Small size not Tiny, so we'll need to rewrite the Description yet again. I am thinking:
A dire mosquito larva is an aquatic insect...
Just remembered another thing I was going to check.
Real world mosquito larva breathe air through siphons on their tail tip, but those aren't mentioned in the Polyhedron version which compares them to "aquatic caterpillars" but doesn't say whether they actually are aquatic.
If they have gills...
And that's with the normal sized once that only measure a few millimeters.
Imagine how much worse a sound one twelve feet long makes when flying around!
Dang it, I just noticed that the Female Dire Mosquito Working Draft was erroneously indented just after the Variant: Diseased Female Dire Mosquitoes title.
Just removed the indentation from the Working Draft.
Will leave it to you whether to do the same on D&D Beyond.
Works for me, although I'd lean towards going even lower to a Giant Wasp's STR 10, a Giant Wolf Spider's STR 12 or a Giant Crab's STR 13.
I've updated the Male Dire Mosquito Working Draft with CR 1 (200 XP), STR 12, +4 to hit, 1d6 + 2 damage.
Quiet?
I find their whining drone so annoying that if there's one in my bedroom I had to get up and dispose of the dang thing before I can get to sleep.
Oh damn it, the Male Giant Mosquitoes were size Medium not Large.
Changed the Male Dire Mosquito Working Draft from.
Large beast, unaligned
Hit Points 52 (7d10 + 14)
To:
Medium beast, unaligned
Hit Points 52 (8d8 + 16)
That doesn't change anything else.
