Yes, precisely so. I very much worry that the change in art is an indication of a change in content and storyline. Art noveau and deco have a place in Eberron, and I never contested that.

To be clear, "timeframe" isn't something that bothers me. Eberron is simultaneously medieval, post-Civil War, post-WWI, post-WWII, pre-Y2K, AND post 9-11 all at once. A certain level of revision is fine. Adding tieflings and dragonborn to Eberron in 4e just makes sense. Heck, even adding guns...

My main point is that the warforged has 5 fingers. And that's fine if that's true for 1 warforged. But that's really not okay if warforged are getting retconned. Its fine for it to be both, but if it isn't indeed both but is just Art Noveau, then that is to abandon the setting's identity.

Indeed! While Crests of Destiny are based on the Major Arcana / Fire Emblem: Three Houses, mechanically they offer a onboarding for Dragonmarks quite easily. Just load up a Heritage Gift with traits from the dragonmark as appropraite. Probably gonna end up a little strong, so some mileage may vary.
