    DCC to 5e conversion?

I converted one of the regular DCC modules on the fly, and that was easy. Mostly it is a matter of scale (and if you are familiar with 3rd edition, it will help) and tone, as D&D 5th in my view is very heroic and high powered in a style, that neither DCC or Lankhmar is. As such I would say...

Name Maker Real World Volume 4 Danish from Ennead Games

Those are some very uncommon names in the examples for Danish names. For instance only 13 Danes right now carry the name Frithiof. You can look up names in Denmark and see how have a given name right here: https://www.dst.dk/da/Statistik/emner/befolkning-og-valg/navne/HvorMange

D&D 5E I've been working on this for three years and I'm finally got something to show for it

This is something I am really looking forward to and hoping that it may be realised. If it happens I will be throwing money at it for a print. Best of luck.

    D&D 5E Guidance...

I went the other way and changed the cantrip to an assist action, where any character can assist another, if they describe how they assist. The players now all get to use the action, and as they describe how they assist each other, we learn new things either about the setting or the characters...

Campaign Set in a Magic School

I ran a campaign for several years about a magic school. It was with the 3rd edition rules and set in the Mystara setting using Gaz 3 Principalities of Glantri (it covers a nation of wizards - find it on DMs Guild, if you don't already have it) at The Great School of Magic in the nation of...

who came first to make a village?

The village, where I grew up, has been there for 1000 years, growing and expanding, but it is actually older than that, as villages would actually move. From time to time the villagers would tear down buildings for materiales, abandon the site and move a few kilometers for fresh farming lands...

D&D 5E I spent the last three years writing a complete guide to the Known World for 5th edition. Now it's done.

Good luck with the book. As a long time fan of the setting, I hope you will be able to further this.

"Theater of the Mind" or Map and Minis?

I play ToM almost exclusively. Back when my group played D&D 4th we used minis and grid maps, but it was always time consuming and made combat take longer time. I can recognize the appeal of setting up terrain and minis - but once we begin playing it looses its appeal for me. It is not flexible...

Pathfinder 2E Paizo Announces Pathfinder 2nd Edition!

I wonder how this ties into Starfinder? How much is Starfinder an inbetween product of PF 1st and 2nd ed (if at all)? Or is Starfinder going in a third direction - or is it discotinued, when PF 2nd comes out? Also I like their initiative concept and might try and reverse engineer it into my...

D&D 5E How do you rule switching weapons?

In my groups we generally handwave the issue. If the situation and the size of the weapons deems it unlikely that the weapon is sheathed so fast as to cost no action, then it is instead dropped.

Are We Looking At A New RPG Kickstarter Record?

At least in Denmark it applies to books. So ordering books from US is easily quite expensive, so one usually tries to a British seller. :) Sent from my [device_name] using EN World mobile app

Are We Looking At A New RPG Kickstarter Record?

What mean is, when the package reaches the Denmark, there is added a customs tax and assessing fee, and I have to pay that to authorities, before I can receive the package. If the package is send from within EU, then there is no such custom taxes and fee. That is what is termed EU friendly by...

Are We Looking At A New RPG Kickstarter Record?

Taxes for 'importing' the book to Europe. And their is a fee for handling and assessing the taxes, that usually ends up with 20+ dollars. That is why EU friendly projects are important :) If the books can be shipped within EU, the problem is solved, but I do not know much about the...

Are We Looking At A New RPG Kickstarter Record?

Good luck to Matt with the kickstarter. However, it is a good example of what frustrates me, when it comes to RPG kickstarters. Being in Europe, shipping is 22 dollars, and since the projekt (afaik) is not EU friendly, I can expect a tax (and service) for an additional 20 dollars. The pledge at...
