Woohoo! Mostly fixed (was Got a new computer and need help...)

I agree with Chris If you want or need to use Win98, try partitioning your had drive into 4 gig sections, or at least the section you put the operating system on. In the long run, you'd be better off gettin' a copy of Win XP Prof. to take advantage of your new machine's performance.

Mapping Program that doesn't burn thru ink

Ever try Fractal Mapper? As long as you don't go crazy with details, I've found it to work quite well printing the maps in B&W.

    Best "Virtual Tabletop" for Mac?

We've had a number of people comment on our stealth marketing technique. Believe it or not, we've been developing and selling Werks for about five years now. Where as this is your first time hearing about us, I'm sure that it won't be the last. We're ready to take our product to the next...

    Best "Virtual Tabletop" for Mac?

If you're willing to pay, try kLoOge.Werks. If nothing else, download the demo and see if it's what you're looking for. It's written in Java, So it works on the Mac, PC, and Linux platforms. And, no. OpenRPG is done in Pytho, not Java. I do believe there is a Mac version of it though. I...

    Anti-Spyware program?

Faronics I know it may be inconvient at times, but I'd check out Deep Freeze at http://www.faronics.com/ . Although it won't prevent these programs from installing, it's reall easy to get rid of them once they have. All you need to do is reboot your computer.

    Battlemap software?

I agree, Shapermc. I've used both Izandawo and Campaign Cartographer 2 (trial version) to make maps for Klooge.Werks. While I haven't tried ver. 0.30 yet, I liked the maps I made with the previous version. Izandawo may be the best freeware out there to make good maps with. While the trial...

    Mapper software

Actually, that’s exactly how we play with kLoOge.Werks. We have the master on one side of the room (the DM), while the players computer is on the other side of the room outputting to a T.V. that everyone can see. Whoever the caller is “drives” (controls the client computer) the party around...

    Anyone have Kloogwerks experience?

Sure. Simply click the fist button on the toolbar. This will allow players (clients) to move character icons and friendly NPC icons around on the map. I would also suggest that you take a look at the Edit/Preferences section on the Master’s side. There are a number of options you can set...

What were the 3 software developers ordered to cease and dissist?

Three companies? Has PcGen actually received anything “official” yet, i.e. a letter or other document? Are the other 2 companies getting a cease and desist orders or just a slap on the wrist like PcGen has apparently received? If this rumor is true, I’d think that an “official” contact would...
