1001 minor traits for magic swords

    155) Mace of the nameless: A critical hit with this weapon causes the target to forget his name. An etching with the target's name appears on the mace. Should the target ever die, raising the him/her back to life will require the caster to touch his/her name etched on the mace... It's probably...

Pathfinder 1E GM in need of assistance, Pathfinder

Wouldn't it be better if that good killer NPC had been the victim of some sort of "geas", "curse" or a strong "suggestion"? This assasin would know that she's doing something "bad" but couldn't do anything to stop her/himself form killing someone... Then, you tie-in the possibility of removing...

    Board Game Dayz

Forget my post. (I was asking how to get the spammer in this thread reported).

Did Monster Builder not update yet?

Neat, for me, is an understatement. It's the feature I wanted the most (aside from the new monster format of course).

Did Monster Builder not update yet?

The printout... Does it NOT TAKE AN ENTIRE PAGE LIKE BEFORE OR IS IT JUST ME?!? I seem to be able to copy/paste monsters in powerpoint as before but they don't take as much space as before!

Warhammer: Chaos in the old world

Hey "Mal"! Happy to know you loved our last boardgame day together! I'd love to crush your Slanesh devotees again before the birth of my kid! Hmmm, let's prepare something in august or september... BACK TO OP: MerricB, you've got some great suggestions, as Mal and I played Middle Earth...

    Co-op game recommendations

Let me add: "Witch of Salem" : Pure-coop, stop the necromant from calling forth an Old god from it's slumber in R'lyeth (it's Arkham horror crossed with a "slimpler" Ghost stories). Drips with theme and is really easy to play, in 60 minutes. 2 to 4 players. Had a lot of fun with this one...

    Co-op game recommendations

There's a random mission .wav generator back at the BGG website... It works pretty well to create new CD tracks. It has even got the same sounds as the original CD. Moreover, the CD is there to give cues about which deck you pick cards (threats) from. The "card factor" makes each game different...

    Space Alert

I finally tried with 3 players and we had a lot of fun... I simplified/easified a bit the game by removing the critical threats and "forgot" to use the main computer each phase (the "screensaver rule"). As such, we had a bit more freedom to plan our responses and we were still destroyed...

Combining 2 board games for epic gaming!

1- Oh... Combining an RPG with some kind of board game could be fun! Dominion maybe? As a campaign starter, it could help create "political tension". I'll think about it. 2- Hey, start a thread about your opinions on Stronghold. I keep being interested about this game. I'm just holding off on it.

Other than cleric, which class heals?

WOW! I go a weekend and here are a long list of good ideas! Favored Soul of the Silver Flame will be my character tonight! Now on to the 3 starting feats (normal feat + human + Unearthed Arcana flaw): 1. Weapon focus (XXX) 2. Aberrant dragonmark (chosen for roleplaying reasons - feather fall...

Other than cleric, which class heals?

Yeah... I think I'll have to multiclass if I want to have something different from the "vanilla" cleric I've always had to play in most gaming groups I've been in!

Other than cleric, which class heals?

Okay, it's been a while since I've played 3.5ed and I need some help making a character: I've got asked to do (again) a LVL 1 heal-bot (cleric) for a gaming group. I'd like to try something different though... 1. Besides the CLERIC (and a rogue with a CLW wand), which other class from any WotC...

    Agricola

Hey, "Le Havre" got the "International Gamer Award 2009"... It's supposedly similar to Agricola. Anyone has played that? I was thinking about buying Agricola, but if Le Havre is similar... I'll have to consider this game too.

    Space Alert

Space Alert is indeed a well executed game and lots of fun, but of course, you've got to like co-op game. My girlfriend loves these types of games (and coop + traitors games) Which, as luck turns out, I like too!

    Space Alert

Played it only once right now... There's A LOT of things happening all at once and me and my girlfriend got overwhelmed. Three players for the first games looks like the "sweet spot": One player listens to the audio, one checks actions and energy expenditures and the last players draws cards...

Combining 2 board games for epic gaming!

I'll also try Munckin Chtulhu with Arkham Horror... Different strokes in the "horror" genre but it's probably going to be funny. The winner of the Munchkin game will get to choose his character, others will get it randomly... Less EPIC than my first idea but funny.

Combining 2 board games for epic gaming!

I've got my friends to finally play Battlestar Galactica (BSG) and they're now officially hooked! Yay! My masterplan is coming near: Combining 2 board games to create something really EPIC. First, I'll have them learn Space Alert... Then, one day, we'll play both game one after the other...
