I'm playing around with character ideas and one thing that came to mind is a generally assassin-like char that I would like to be a drow. Now the thing is that I know at least one of the people who usually DM our games will probably make playing a drow pretty difficult in regards to NPC...

maybe see it like this: A glaives (and similar weapons) design is all around based on using it 2 handed. Even if its lighter than a usual glaive is, the whole design is still quite sub-par for one handed use. Of course logical explanations only go so far when talking about fantasy magic ;)

My last question still stands: Are there ways or items that let you make an area "difficult terrain" for some time?

How about going for a two handed weapon like a greataxe? How well does a large weapon like this work when Tigerclaw seems to favour TWF with a lot of its manouvers? The greataxe IS a favoured weapon of Tigerclaw though.... Spiked Chain is a two-handed weapon though

Ok, I found it and it seems pretty good but does anyone have more insight about its ingame use? Is it actually worth taking if my char doesnt have a high strength? Also in order to make good use of it I would have to cast in melee every round, how do people usually minimize the dangers of this?
