    War Dogs

When every I play a fighter (and even sometimes when I don't) I almost always pick a riding dog has one of my first investments of hard earned loot, because the added firepower and detection ability. Unfortunately my current fighter has finally reached 14 level and there is no way the a riding...

Looking for some advice on my dragon problem

My first thought was death ward, but it only protects from death spells/effects, energy drain, and negative energy-unfortunately no con protection which is what we really need or a faster way to heal the con damage instead of the restoration spell.

Looking for some advice on my dragon problem

The game is taking place in Forgotten Realms, so it is reasonable to limit which gods grant which spells-most gods have specific spells they grant to their worshipers already, and so the more powerful of the cold based ones are cold/ice worshipers only. As for the wizard learning it, that is an...

Looking for some advice on my dragon problem

Unfortunately the wizard of the group doesn't have that spell and since the cleric cohort is of a war god the DM has ruled that he isn't granted access to that spell (cold clerics only)

Looking for some advice on my dragon problem

During my last D&D 3.5 session my group and I learned about a new enemy that is gunning for us - an advanced possibly templated fang dragon (described as a planar fang dragon that is immune to divination). Since we can't use magic to figure when, where, or how it may attack we are going to be on...

    Question about Awaken

Animated objects have a hardness rating based on the material they were made of before being animated. In combat any attack (magic or not) has to over come the animated objects hardness to deal damage (some attacks deal 1/2 or 1/4 damage based on effectiveness-determined by the DM). Since sand...

    Transparency?

Damn it, that's the spell-I looked through most of the other FR books and forgot that there were spells in the Waterdeep book-thanks a bunch.

    Transparency?

In old school D&D there was glassteel (as a spell) and now it is a magical material, but I could swear that there was a spell (in D&D 3.5) that made objects transparent as glass while keeping the original materials hardness and hit points. Does anyone know where it is or did I just imagine it?

    Leadership & Dragon Cohort?

I was going to post this question in a new thread, but it seems like it will fit here. Which feat would be better to take? Leadership allows for a good buffer or healer (wizard, sorcerer, healer, marshall specifically)-but dragons can kick a hole lot of ass (with the elite array and loot equal...

    MIC: Steadfast Boots

Unfortunately there isn't much room for interpretation with Steadfast Boots. It does however seem that they do get house ruled a lot, because of how they're viewed as two powerful (I definitely agree with them being one of the best buys for what they do). They thing about reasonably intelligent...

    Stupid question on favored classes

Well if there isn't any rule that deals with this situation specifically I guess I'll have to think about going with Rampant's idea.

    Stupid question on favored classes

My question is if a character is a human 4th level fighter/4th level ranger , which is his favored class or are both of them favored? The PHB and SRD state that his highest level class is favored, but they are tied (and it doesn't say to pick one in case of a tie). Mainly I want to know if the...

I need my PC's put be captured. Help

Personally since the PC's are only 3rd level I wouldn't use to many high level spells to capture them since it seems a bit more than would be necessary, nothing over 1st or 2nd level. The best in game way that I can think of is a real world solution-a lot of low level warriors with nets, bolas...

    MIC: Steadfast Boots

I've always treated it as only giving the wearer a free attack against charging foes that deals double damage on a hit, because allowing it to change initiative order gets really complex and wonky if they get charged by several foes through out a round i.e. they could lose there entire turn...
