D&D 5E (2024) So what's going on with the October book?

Then you're wrong lol Here and reddit are pretty much the only places i hear people hating on it, and even here that opinion isn't exactly universal. But hey if you wanna believe I'm lying, go ahead I guess

Wizards of the Coast Reveals Revised Eberron Species Details

Are there any features that hit constructs harder or target them specifically?

D&D General What if we gave dragonborn four arms?

Yep. And to me pomegranate juice has an oddly…decaying…aroma. Okay okay Tomato juice, pickle, lemon juice, sloe gin, dry gin, rounded out with mead. I wouldn’t drink it, but I know some people who would.

D&D General What if we gave dragonborn four arms?

Tomato and pickle And pomegranate, but that’s mostly the aroma.

D&D General What if we gave dragonborn four arms?

Simpler. While flying you take up space as a large creature. If you take damage you must make a con save or fall prone. At level 5 you no longer have to make saves to avoid falling.

D&D General What if we gave dragonborn four arms?

They need to stop worrying about it and just give the very simple advice needed to run a game with one or more flying PC in the core book.

I didn’t say or imply that you did. Which is a good thing, not a mark against it. Bruh, you seem to be looking for some sort of fight. I’m not gonna give it. Have a good one.

Yeeeah. I am quite guilty of “talking too fast”. Between learning Spanish from people who speak it very quickly, and living in California, people talking slow feels painful to me lol

    Spoilers Superman Spoiler Thread

To be fair, Superman didn’t start out as the stronger guy in every room all the time always. So if this Clark stays at that level, I’ll concede that it’s a departure, but if he gets more and more powerful, then that’s exactly as it should be. Besides, IMO, Superman’s identity isn’t being the...

    Spoilers Superman Spoiler Thread

Yeah I mean I am Californian, and when I call my company’s corporate “store support” line and get someone from Kansas, Tennessee, or a few other places, I feel like I’m talking to the sloth character from Zootopia. It is so slow I struggle to remember how the damn sentence started, by the end of...

Wizards of the Coast Reveals Revised Eberron Species Details

Nope. Either keep reading or find a pre-errata copy. They deleted chunks of text after people pushed them to fix the problematic language of that book.

Wizards of the Coast Reveals Revised Eberron Species Details

I mean, it’s not completely out of the authors hands. Volos presented half-orcs how they did, there wasn’t exactly much extrapolation involved lol When the description uses exactly the same wording as old rhetoric used to dehumanize Black and Native people, it isn’t on the reader to give the...

    Daggerheart Kaiju Battles?

I dig that. Love Earthsea. To me though, the best dragons come in two categories: Dragons you can befriend and ride And Dragons so massive you cannot stand on the ground swinging a sword at them, you have to strategize, and take big risks, and take them down by knowing their weakness and...

Wizards of the Coast Reveals Revised Eberron Species Details

Are you serious right now? Bro this is maybe the most egregiously pointless “well actually” I’ve ever seen on this website.

    Daggerheart Kaiju Battles?

Awesome. Can’t wait to get my hands on that. All I want from Kaiju is Shadow of The Collosus meets Breath of The Wild. Edit; Oh and for things like dragons to be treated like Kaiju.

Wizards of the Coast Reveals Revised Eberron Species Details

Yep. But since they won’t be doing the PHB any time soon, at least we have stats for mixed elfin folk. I think the closest to a balanced mixed species mechanic we can hope for is the Custom Lineage. Which they should have just put into the damn PHB. Thank god. The “pick a parent” thing was...

    Spoilers Superman Spoiler Thread

Yes exactly! And Clark not having the same accent is so real. Like, I live in Southern California. People drop their home town accent fast when doing so makes life a lot easier, especially when your career would be stunted, and a LOT of people intentionally remove their native accent in their...

Huh? How? The movie doesn’t make fun of them at all, it just makes them earnest farmers that look and talk like midwestern farmers. I’ve seen this all over the web, but I don’t get it. I know people with those accents, and they are absolutely rural Kansans.

D&D General Can I use your character for an NPC in my new market?

Kid (She/they) Kid is a disarmingly pretty, androgynous, human artificer (homebrew subclass but otherwise she’d be an Artillerist with punching) with a silvered magical prosthetic left arm. They’ve got curly blond hair (think blonde Merida). Kid’s quick, charming in a rough way, and extremely...

D&D General Did 5e 2024 Not meet the economic goals set, and if not, why not?

His premises are false, IMO. 2024 D&D hasn’t failed, it’s selling very very well. Every shop I know sells through the core books like it’s early 5e, Hasbro isn’t showing any signs of any kind of poor sales, and the last couple points are just silly. 2024 was made to improve the game. It...
