In for this in a big way

There was some talk of this on the Dragon Talk podcast and I remember thinking that they sounded like they were talking about information that was currently in conversation around watc. I kind of ducked out during 4e so put it down to that.

Yeah that sounds pretty great! I was hoping that they took a leaf out of Roll20s book and offer free admission to players on the back of the dms master sub..and it looks like they are looking in that direction. This gives me confidence that they are on target.

Thats a great wrap up Hastur_nz. I can say one thing. These responses have excited about aspects of pretty much every adventure on offer. Looks like I am buying the book instead of one of the modules on roll20!

My thoughts precisely

I do like the gonzo nature of WP...and having the party end up with these legendary weapons...could be interesting to continue at a later date. What happens when everyone knows you have these awesome weapons? You will need to protect ownership, respond to the never ending requests for help..etc...

When you die..dont you know how to get up to that point for the next shot? Seems a bit computer gamey and I am not sure my players will like the arbitrary nature of it. It sure would be good to be a dick dm for once though. And...of course..its a classic, so maybe the guys will dig it with...

I am thinking about taking a break from COS and doing a one/two session spritzer game from the yawning portal. Out of the list available I am thinking of doing the Forge of Fury but I have never played any of the games..owned some of them back in the day and read them...just never played them...

I am advocating innovation instead of the subscription method. Obviously not underpaying developers. Modernising and changing the way kids can play this wonderful game. In a way that is affordable to kids.

Of course I was not suggesting devs do not get paid. I was suggesting that Wizards pick up the bill..in return for a smart way to make it easier to play the game...and buy content through the platform. I was suggesting being smart about things in the same way that roll20 do things.

The massive good will that would be engendered by giving these tools for free. Unlocked with each purchase of each hardcover..or online equivalent, would be immense. This should be a tool that makes the game easier to play...across the country, the world, or across the street! Imagine kids...

Digital= easy for the Dm to hand out magic item cards/info in game. I like that! Make sure you add a table that lists the items by commonality..I use this to quickly scan my level appropriate options at the table.

That's my thought as well. Doesn't make sense to have Barovian backgrounds. But the one released had some great ideas that would help instill the mood that you are after. I would love a bunch of 'damaged' backgrounds so I could send a party of jelly legged, mentally disturbed, bed wetters...

Was just thinking that as well. How the hell are we going to navigate this map on roll20? Can you turn off the grid entirely perhaps? I think the players would love it, just don't know how to do it!
