Explore Mystic Worlds With The Hero's Journey

It's worse than you thought, but not much. With 5d6 HD, the average S&W White Box fighter has 15-17 hit points. The Hero's Journey fighter has 3d6+5 with an average of 14-16. I haven't played Hero's Journey, but I have have been playing a White Box/White Star (because I like space elves, so...

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana: Wizards & Warlocks -- Hexblades, Raven Queens, and Lore Mastery!

It's a UA column from last year, titled Non-Divine Faithful.

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana: Wizards & Warlocks -- Hexblades, Raven Queens, and Lore Mastery!

It does seem a bit single pact-ey. I really can't see anyone coming to the table with Hexblade patron, but book or tome pact, just to mix things up. Not that I mind some sort of Bound Object patron, but Hexblade feels overly combat corner case-ey. That made sense, right?

D&D 5E Eldritch Knight: Better Arcane Archer than the subclass?

I find it interesting that Mearls tweeted about reducing the Mystic to d6 and recasting the Immortal Mystic/Psychic Warrior as a fighter subclass a week and a half after the new Arcane Archer was released. ... That's my way of saying I think the UA Arcane Archer is a cool little martial...

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana Fighter: Samurai, Sharpshooter, Arcane Archer & Knight

I'm not breaking any new ground here, but it's important to remember that Arcane Archer interacts with fighter stuff. It's fine to say that you only get one or two trick (with one additional per 10 more rounds of combat) shots per battle, but those have to be considered in terms of extra...

Fleshing Out the Mystic - New Disciplines for a Neglected Class

I love it! I too have been disappointed by the lack of any further updates to the Mystic. My only criticism is, your disciplines seem more like a separate order than Awakened disciplines. I say go for broke, come up with three order features, and call it "Order of the Metacreator" or whatever.

D&D 5E Minis and no grid?

What's remarkable about that? It sounds like every single session of D&D I've ever played! PCs will murder each other a dozen times over, given the chance. :P I enjoy playing with minis, but don't like to get too tactical with them, if you know what I mean.

BLUE ROSE Returns, Championing Diversity & Inclusiveness

I don't feel like the inspiration rule does, but the social interactions rules are bit more robust. Compared to the combat rules, social interaction seems to lack only a hit point/this how you die!! mechanic.
