Why simpler - much simpler - is better

That is jsut Unfair... Everyone has a right to RPGs... the Gubment needs to provide affordable RPGS!! Just as Long as they Promise "If I like My RPG And I Like My GM I can Keep My RPG And Keep My GM!"

What tabletop software do you use?

I agree FG is a quality program, Used it at one time and 3 groups got together to buy up Licenses on discount. But after a few months as players had to drop out, the group(s) got smaller and smaller and it became harder to find new players as those interested did not want to "buy in" Until...

Why simpler - much simpler - is better

And I would disagree. I have run Rolmaster for years and I find in Both very simple to play with lots of crunchyness to it. Sure it may have tables, but it doesn't involve trivial Look up unless the gm/Players Makes it that way. Much like any other system.

What can ruin a Game more; Poor GMing or a Bad Player

Though in it's basic sense the bolded is true. It can be complicated by other issues, such as being a friend of yours, being a friend of the GM or one of the other players who you don't want to lose. In the first case I mentioned, We all gave him a chance, every chance we could, In the end his...

What can ruin a Game more; Poor GMing or a Bad Player

I have found that, as Long as the GM isn't being a dick, I can put up with a lot in a poor GM. But I have found the One player can ruin the game for everyone. And even then that one player doesn't have to be being a dick to do it. We had a Player in our game at one point where every Session we...

What is more likely to ruin a Game for you, Could you Work with a Mediocre Gm running the game as long as the players base is good? Bad calls and all? Or is Poor Gming going to ruin it for you Vs A Bad player making the game Frustrating, Can you over look such a player being disruptive to the...

    Home brew Vs Modules

What do you prefer as a Gm and what do you prefer as a Player. Modules where everything is laid out and prepared. Or Home brew where the gm puts in effort to make the campaign what it is. and with the Home brew side of things, Do you prefer the GM concentrate of a specific adventure that he...

What tabletop software do you use?

Oh, Also there is the cost issue. There are some VTTs out there I would consider using over maptools IF they had a good Mapping ability and they didn't Cost so much. This is something I think those software developers have wrong for such a niche Market. Take for instance Fantasy grounds. 2...

As a DM do you secretly enjoy the obnoxious player who pisses everyone else off?

Simply no. We are all there to have fun and some one going out of their way to cause problems for everyone else intentionally, well that is just not fun... Now if your doing something, like shooting into melee, that isn't just to cause problems... I don't have to much issue, as long as it...

PDFs vs. Books - What's your preference?

I pretty much like having both in this day an age. I like having tactile books. I like to read the books but not have to stare at a screen. I also like having PDfs available for quick reference and they are much easier to take with you places. But if the power ever goes out or the apocalypse...
