I'd like to see the Immortal's Handbook return & be finished, also some of the longer adventures from older editions, DL series from 1st edition, some Spelljammer. I expect we'll see some Greyhawk before too long.

I allow my players to delay, but I do make them specify what they're going to do first. I can understand where it gets out of hand and can become problematic.

I'm probably going to let them build their own characters to allow them to immerse themselves into the story. Though, the Cleric will still get the staff.

One of the players has read the Chronicles Trilogy, so he has some idea and mentioned an interest in the Cleric position even without magic. And yes, I've read that the Kender is going to be in the DMG, but the group is itching to start sooner rather than later.
