    D&D 5E Henchmen

I believe any other creature traveling with the party only gains exp if they contributed substantially during that specific combat.

    D&D 5E Fire Trap

Actually, it might depend on the situation in which the protection is used. If the only situation where anyone would be searching through his room is over the wizard's dead body, a trap that destroys everything in the room to prevent the perpetrator from getting anything valuable seems like a...

D&D 5E Cursed Items and Identify

WotC should have included two more random tables in the DMG. 1) Magical item crafting outcome table. On a 01-09, roll on table 2! 2) Random type of curse on item table

D&D 5E Nonmagical arrows and magic bows

I think by this point we've proven that A) bows with +N property exists and B) bows with +N stacks with ammo with +N. However, the original question by the OP have not been answered, which is whether or not shooting a non-magical arrow from a magical bow makes the strike "magical". I would...

    D&D 5E Fire Trap

Or just be nice to your players and say the entire thing is magical thus preventing damage :p

    D&D 5E Fire Trap

Healing potions are listed under the magic item section of the DMG. But you can easily rule that its the content that's magical, and not the glass in which contains it.

D&D 5E DEX Save, if Grabbed

Perhaps my previous answer has been a bit harsh on the player with the grappled condition, since similar condition like paralyzed, stunned, and unconscious all makes the creature automatically fail str/dex saving throws. However, with restrained condition only giving disadvantage on saving...

D&D 5E DEX Save, if Grabbed

Considering that the grappled condition stays that and also I would rule the following: 1) Auto fail because he can't move, unless the character grappling him chooses to let go (see 3) 2) Makes at disadvantage, but keeps the grappled creature 3) Uses reaction to release and jump away...

    D&D 5E Fire Trap

Note also objects are immune to psychic and poison damage. Other damage vulnerability/immunity on objects is up to you. Example was you won't be able to cut a rope with a mace.

    D&D 5E Fire Trap

In fact there is. There's a table about object's AC and hit point. For AC: Cloth/Paper/Rope - 11 Crystal, Glass, Ice - 13 Wood, Bone - 15 Stone - 17 Iron, Steel - 19 Mithral - 21 Adamantine - 23 For HP: Tiny (bottle, lock) - Fragile item (2 or 1d4), Resilient item (5 or 2d4) Small (chest...

D&D 5E Perception checks, searching a room, listening at a door, etc etc

For searching the room, when they all enter, and one of them asks to make a perception check, just ask them all to roll at the same time and if any one of them beats the DC, then the whole group basically know what that player know (unless you have players that likes to withhold information...

D&D 5E View distances and perception

Not everything is measured in feet though in the game. If the player is traveling between cities, the distance covered is measured in miles, not feet. If you want to know the distance so you can judge how far they can see on a particular battle map, chances are they can see the entire map...

    D&D 5E Disarm questions

Tormyr brings up a good point here regarding the 1 free interaction. Is your fighter duel wielding? sword and shield? He doesn't have a free hand to pick up that sword on the ground unless he sheath his weapon first, but if he does that, he just used up his free interaction so can't pick up the...

    D&D 5E Hidding Question

Depends on how much cover you're talking about. If I were to rule, it would need to be either total cover or somewhere that's heavily obscured visually, and if the Orc sees the rogue moving into the cover, then yes, disadvantage on the roll.

    D&D 5E Dungeonscape Lives!

Not sure who you're directing that comment at, but being one of the person above your comments, I felt the need to defend myself real quick. If you look back to my previous post on this thread, you'll see that I am one of the supporter of code name: Morningstar (page 15 or 16 of this post). I'm...

    D&D 5E Dungeonscape Lives!

Well it's still kinda early here on the west coast (3:02 PM as I type this) on a Friday, so maybe they'll do a 8:00 PM release or something like that.

    D&D 5E Extra Attack Questions

Found it: I guess it depends on how you interpret it. Some may read it only specifies Bonus Action, so a full normal Action isn't limited. But the way I read that it implies you can't cast any other spell that requires a spell slot on the same turn you've already casted one. EDIT: typo
