There's A New Edition Of The Cypher System Coming

There is an entire section on running modern games. Foci that are totally mundane - Infiltrates, Leads, Would Rather Be Reading, Works the System\Back Alleys, Works for a Living, Murders, Runs Away, Solves Mysteries, Looks for Trouble, etc. Using subtle cyphers one can totally run a noir, Bond...

D&D 5E (2024) Here's The Covers of BOTH of November's Forgotten Realms Books

Oof! Yikes that's bad. Ehhh Kobold Press and A5e has it figured out for 5e systems, and art, and that's more than plenty for me.

D&D's October Product Revealed to Be Stranger Things Tie-In

I think I'm just salty with a lot of WOTC. My apologies for thread crapping

D&D's October Product Revealed to Be Stranger Things Tie-In

What anniversary? The 50th anniversary that they did nothing for?

D&D's October Product Revealed to Be Stranger Things Tie-In

It had a huge uptick in popularity due to ST and COVID. Professor DM goes over this quite a bit on dungeon Craft.

D&D's October Product Revealed to Be Stranger Things Tie-In

What will WotC do when they don't have Stranger Things to help prop them up? I want to be excited for D&D, I really do, but there is nothing on the slate that isn't a rehash of a previous product in theme or topic.

Jess Lanzillo Joins White Wolf as Creative Director

Agreed. It's also unfortunate that Jess is a World of Darkness. Her entire life even. :P

    The Entire TTRPG Hobby Post-Mortem

I took ran\ run for coworkers. I rolled off 5e because no one could be bothered to read the handbook or their class. So we'll do something lighter like Basic Fantasy or Castles & Crusades. I feel the same way, I'm doing all the work and they show up, or don't, to play for a few hours...

    Magazines Dragon Reflections #93

This cover is terrible. OOF, not a fan even back then, but I did like the Dragon #90 harpy cover. A generally decent to OK issue, if I recall correctly. Man, I miss reading gaming magazines, Dragon, Shadis, Dungeon, etc.

Dark Conspiracy RPG: An Interview with Mongoose Publishing

Thanks for the chunky interview, that's a good look into what is heading our way. Also, as much as I like the old Dark Conspiracy cover, I think it looks fairly dated and cartoony, and I'm glad that they're getting their own people for the job. I'm wondering if there will be a kickstarter for...

Eberron: Forge of the Artificer Alternate Cover Revealed

Absolutely they do! That's just where I'm at, LoL I'm old and cranky. (Shakes fist at clouds)

Eberron: Forge of the Artificer Alternate Cover Revealed

<sigh> WotC do you have any new ideas? Like, anything? I dread a new "edition" because it'll be the same old stuff. More versions of the Draconomicon, a giants adventure, a Ravenloft rehash, lather rinse repeat. Even the new starter set is Keep on the Borderlands. We have multiple versions of...

RPG Archive: Star*Drive for D&D and Traveller

Roger that! I'm likely misremembering articles and such.

RPG Archive: Star*Drive for D&D and Traveller

It was published in 1997 by TSR. It was branded as a TSR product because that's when it was initially developed. Wizards of the Coast bought TSR in 1997 as well. That means all the players handbooks at GM guide, and a handful of products still were made under the TSR tenure.
