FANTASY GROUNDS Virtual Tabletop's D&D License!

I don't understand the pricing system. What will it cost me if I want everything?

FANTASY GROUNDS Virtual Tabletop's D&D License!

Could someone please tell me how much it would cost to get everything? I am a player and a DM. Also, does this work offline?

FANTASY GROUNDS Virtual Tabletop's D&D License!

It's pretty and all but it's still very dear. Why would I want to pay these prices when I could drop 150 for the three corebooks, which I keep forever, and can play on rolld20 for free?

D&D 5E D&D 5e is fantastic. Just a topic of appreciation and some forum analysis.

D&D has always done this but this time around they aren't handling it very well. Who forced you into buying the splat books? They have never made splat books that you needed in order to play the game so by leaving out products, they are catering to a specific gaming group. I would argue they...

FANTASY GROUNDS Virtual Tabletop's D&D License!

I would say the pricing and layout will change because I don't see many people forking over that kind of money to be honest. Does this have a server where you can advertise games to run and games to play in like rolld20?

Jeremy Crawford On The Dark Side of Developing 5E

It seems to me like they are trying to basically be a big "cheap skate". Ever hear of people who hang their used tea bags out on a line to dry so they can be reused? This is the impression I am getting. Unfortunately, D&D is not in the position to pull that off successfully. Pathfinder has...

D&D 5E D&D 5e is fantastic. Just a topic of appreciation and some forum analysis.

An honest question. Why? If you like the direction the game is going then happy days, but there is a significant section of the community that isn't. The core rules themselves have received much praise on these boards so giving further praise repeatedly really doesn't get anything done. I...

Chris Perkins: Reintroducing Settings in Ways that Surprise People

If it's that cut and dry then Wizards is not very bright. The smart thing to do would be to look at the problems with the last two editions and not just the release of books. 1: 3rd edition produced too many books. When I mean a lot of books they produced tons of stuff. 2: 4th edition was...

    D&D 5E The 5E Art is Awesome

These are the types of D&D art I enjoy. There are a few pictures in 5th edition I like but overall I am not impressed with the art at all. In my opinion, it looks very cheap.

D&D 5E Convince me to keep reading Princes of the Apocalypse (*significant* spoilers. Also my players keep out)

One problem I see is there are so many "Realms shaking events" going on in such a short time, you wonder why they haven't attracted the attention of Mystra's Chosen and/or other NPC's of that caliber.

D&D 5E Convince me to keep reading Princes of the Apocalypse (*significant* spoilers. Also my players keep out)

This is a perfect example of why Wizards should do those short term adventures that focus on small local events and enable a PC to gain just a few levels.

D&D 5E Why is WOTC so awful at providing digital content?

Because that's where they have put themselves. They are trying to run before they can crawl. This is what happens when a company had ideas above their station and instead of sticking with what they know, they try to be something they aren't but claim to be. If I put myself out there as being...

Chris Perkins: Reintroducing Settings in Ways that Surprise People

This just isn't good enough for me. Not really sure who they've been speaking with but I wouldn't say it's with the majority of gamers out there. Sounds like they going with what their few employees want and I say it won't have good results. Guess I will be giving my money to someone else...

D&D 5E Neverwinter MMO: Trying to buy Zen on Arc but can't.

I tried to buy it in game but it just takes me to the Arc website which is horrible when it comes to support. I read on the Wiki that if you choose another game when buying Zen you can only use it for that one.
