D&D General What Are Dragonlance's Weis & Hickman, and Actor Manganiello Cooking Up?

Yeah. According to an interview with Elmore she said "Goldmoon is holy, she [in the painting] looks like a whore" and that was specifically about her being pantless. Had it just been about the 80s influences than no doubt the hair and the padded shoulder pauldrons would have gotten changed as well.

D&D General Do you think we might start to see more varied Tiefling art to match the PHB descriptions?

I loved the far realms tiefling I played in Planescape campaign. Non-standard looks ftw, because not everything need to be "easy marketable."

    Matt Colville's Community

I don't know. I knew someone who treated every discussion as a debate. And if you think getting ignored and told to leave/take it somewhere else the moment you post something because everyone is exhausted by the thought of engaging with you is productive, then we have very different definitions...

Critical Role Critical Role Campaign 4 Episode 4 is a High-Octane Rollercoaster

Sure! First mention of it in C4 Fireside chat. And then at 31:50 they talk about it a little more in-depth.

Critical Role Critical Role Campaign 4 Episode 4 is a High-Octane Rollercoaster

Whitney wanted to play a demon and didn't know you really can't play a demon demon in 5e. I'm sure they used the tieflings as a base for it but possibly with some tweaks as tieflings as such don't seem to exist in this setting.

D&D General What Are Dragonlance's Weis & Hickman, and Actor Manganiello Cooking Up?

I do think that might also depend on nostalgia? I tried reading the books for the first time during the start of the pandemic and well, I did not get far. Which might be a problem if you want to make a show that is appealing to a lot of people and not just niche D&D players.

Critical Role Reveals Soldiers' Table and Motivations

It wouldn't be death by DM fiat as such if the CR 15 NPC* attacked the level 3 pc. But it would probably have been 100% certain. *) My guess. Brennan was explicit that NPCs are going to be at the CR that makes sense to the world and not adjusting for players. Primus is the head of a Sundered...

Critical Role Reveals Soldiers' Table and Motivations

"You've expressed that you want to be in these groups, find ways during the last two overture sessions to group together." It doesn't have to be any more complex than that. Looking at them, I do not believe for a second that they "knew" how or what was coming.

Critical Role Reveals Soldiers' Table and Motivations

Yeah, just rewatched that part and my bad. The curse comes just as he stares down at Murray so it implies that he did so with some metamagic. And after this failed Murray continues to poke and call him Primus so his first reaction was not to kill but to embarrass. So it went (1) "stop assume...

Fair! I could very much be wrong.

Critical Role Reveals Soldiers' Table and Motivations

I'll have to rewatch but I'm fairly certain Brennan said in the episode that the curse didn't come from Primus when Murray were rolling insight/perception after the curse failed.

The curse did not come from Primus.

Critical Role Reveals Soldiers' Table and Motivations

This is also the head of a family of death-themed sorcerers that make the evil cultists faction aligned with demons and a chained celestial in their basement scared. "They should have gotten weak like the rest of us but they keep growing in strength." Even if we've only seen Occtis before...

Critical Role Reveals Soldiers' Table and Motivations

Based on the description of things. my take is that the curse was from the dean to shut Murray up and save her life. Brennan told them well in advance that he'll not do CR scaling to them so this Primus is probably stated up like the threat he'll always be: 10+ CR above Murray. As for the...

D&D General People make amazing D&D Art

Made some messy brushes last month and it was great. And today, same brushes "failed" me and it become very clean.

Critical Role Reveals Soldiers' Table and Motivations

Playful manboy (Thjazi) causing trouble with his pixie companion, and his nemesis with a metal hand. Not to mention the cursed shadows. It's not much sure, but I still feel that's more than the Game of Thrones similarities.
