Goodman Games Revives Relationship With Anti-Semitic Publisher For New City State Kickstarter [UPDATED]

I remember as a kid seeing this product advertised CONSTANTLY in various comics and publications but I never got hold of one myself. Fast forward to present day and I have had the opportunity to take a close-up look at the "City-State of the Invincible Overlord" and frankly I don't quite...

D&D (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

Hate this to be frank. Some traditions are hard to drop.

D&D General Teased Lorwyn-Shadowmoor Supplement Crosses Magic: the Gathering and D&D

I have always been a huge fan of the combination of MTG and D&D mostly for the infinite possibilities and endless story options. I've loved the previous Planeswalker guides WotC developed so I am very much looking forward to this one. Lorwyn/Shadowmoor was one of my favorite MTG sets and I...

Critical Role to Run Grimdark Daggerheart Miniseries

Trying to profit off the Daggerheart model when D&D already exists seems to me like trying to re-invent the wheel. I'd have to take a pass on that

Why Dungeons & Dragons Isn't Putting Out a Campaign Book in 2025

I long for the days when we could get an ENTIRE campaign starting at 1st level and going all the way up to 20th level. Otherwise, why have these levels if we never use them. I long for the days of Shackled City, Savage Tide, and Age of Worms. Well written, tons of maps, lots of fun.

Star Trek Adventures' New Edition Has A Starter Set!

As much as I adore Sci-Fi, I've never gotten into the RPG translations of Star Trek/Star Wars, etc. Epic space battles always look so inspiring on the screen but get lost in translation when playing theater of the mind.

    Dragon Reflections #83

To this day, one of my favorite covers of all time. Simply inspiring. And I so remember the Baba Yaga's Hut adventure.

    D&D (2024) New D&D Edition's Player’s Handbook Alternate Art Cover Reveal

I think I like the alternate cover better than the original.

Peer-Reviewed Study Says Dungeons & Dragons Good for Mental Health

The only issue I foresee is the chance that it becomes a crutch and is relied on too heavily in order to escape what troubles us rather than dealing with the issue directly. D&D is a fantastic stress-reliever but like all things can become overused and abused in my opinion.

D&D 5E Potential Monsters in Quests from the Infinite Staircase Adventures

What I am really interested in is how they will edit this particular adventure (if at all). The original was from "Basic" edition so the challenge ratings of the monsters were all over the place. Plus, there was room provided to allow the DM to further expand the adventure by adding additional...

The Rise And Fall Of Evil Genius Games

This is probably the biggest reason I do NOT care for this whole Kickstarter/Patreon financial plan. It is simply too easy to entice a consumer with tons of pretty bells, whistles and artwork to get at least a small handful to donate a ton of money to a project. Now of course, caveat emptor...

WotC WotC Removes Release Dates From Promo Images For 2024

I ADORE that art style. I'm actually really looking forward to this. Quite a few of the course corrections for the classes I've seen in Unearthed Arcana are a necessary change for the good of the game in my humble opinion. It will be nice to see a finalized version all in one source.

D&D 5E Check Out Planescape's Table of Contents & More!

I was never really into Planescape when it first came out. I was happy to just stick to the World of Greyhawk. But I do like what I have seen thus far. For me, the real kicker will be how much support this setting will receive in terms of "official" adventures and how well they are written.

Sneak Peak of Planescape: A Preview

Planescape has always been one of those settings that I have a difficult time grasping. I kind of have a love/hate relationship with it. I love it because it is so unique and unusual in its scope as a planar adventure. And Sigil, the City of Doors, just seemed like a very cool place to...

    RPG Evolution: Are RPGs Art?

I tend to be more of a "logical" thinker than an "artsy" thinker but it is only logical to recognize the power and influence of "art." Art is elusive too as it means something completely different depending on who is viewing it. Art is often the first thing that catches the viewers eye and...
