D&D General How Do You Feel About Randomness?

I feel like randomness can be good, or it can be bad. That's kinda the point.

D&D (2024) Comeliness and Representation in Recent DnD Art

lol, what does ‘staying at Holiday Inn’ mean? Let’s take a second to look at what you originally said: You didn’t say it was ambiguous or that the GM decides. You said they have no souls. That’s not the case outside your home game. In 2019 Baker clarified that Warforged do, in fact, have...

    D&D General Fighter/wizard

Another option to consider is the Eldritch Knight fighter subclass. Although from memory you have to pick half your spells from invocation/Evocation and you’re a 1/3rd spellcaster, so probably not what you’ve looking for but still thought it worth a mention.

    What's your age group?

I do sometimes wonder why there are so few younger players joining the discussions on these boards given the influx of new people coming into the hobby over the past decade.

Godzilla x Kong : The New Empire | Official Trailer

I didn’t mind it, both Godzilla v Kong and Godzilla x Kong have made Kong the main character which works better than focusing on the humans. But it has meant Godzilla is starting to feel more like a cameo in his own movie. I think I read he has 9 minutes of screen time in the new one.

D&D (2024) Comeliness and Representation in Recent DnD Art

It’s the little details that make playing other species fun. In a game once, we’d beaten a Wyvern in its lair full of shells from hatched eggs. When taking a rest after the battle my Kenku climbed into one of the eggs and curled up for his nap. It’s stuff like that which makes roleplaying fun...

RPG Evolution: The AI DM in Action

For the record Picasso was probably one of the wealthiest (within their own lifetime) artists of the 20th century. *while I’m editing in the brackets to help the sentence read better I want to add my favourite anecdote about Picasso : when eating out he would always pay for the whole table by...

D&D (2024) Comeliness and Representation in Recent DnD Art

Looks like you're wrong about this one too. From Keith's blog: "A Warforged can be healed, and they can even be poisoned, though it’s not easy. Warforged have feelings, and while this is something that’s debated in Eberron itself, the fact is that they have souls; the real mystery is where...

D&D General D&D Live Play Dimension 20 At Madison Square Garden

The funny thing is there are people that won’t have the attention span to play a single player video game that are happy to watch videos of other people playing single player video games.

D&D General D&D Live Play Dimension 20 At Madison Square Garden

I like watching RPG livestreams, I don't do it too much as it's a huge time commitment due to campaigns running for so long. Would love to go to one of these live though, that would be a blast. It's funny to hear people say that they don't like watching other people roleplay. A huge joy of...

D&D (2024) Comeliness and Representation in Recent DnD Art

On the topic of representation. Someone recently pointed out to me that Eberron introduced some progressive options in this regard, with: Warforged (non-gendered) Changelings (multi-gendered / gender-fluid) Which is cool.

Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

In buying that new mini I did end up painting a bunch of old stuff once I got going, so was worth it to get a bit of inspiration.

Despite saying I wouldn’t get anymore unpainted minis until I finished the ones I have, I couldn’t resist this Jabberwock, I still have a few small touches, but happy with the progress so far…

    D&D (2024) Here's The New 2024 Player's Handbook Wizard Art

That’s fair. I was hoping my comment would be taken rhetorically. It just strikes me that ‘it’s ok to not like things’ is a statement that condones some terrible behaviour all in the name of art criticism.
