    How Video Saved D&D

I agree. I went more than a decade before I realized I could continue to tabletop again. How many of us *sneeze*-something year-olds have friends nearby that can play. I feel like I'm 16 again. Also I think the success of has created a resurgence... I don't know if there is a correlation or not.

    The End of Starting Gold

Apparently there was a single word in that description I didn't read. Well, then that makes more sense.

    The End of Starting Gold

I'm confused about 5E, you get starting equipment and also starting gold from your background. THEN you get a starting gold table following that. I've had to strike the third option from my game because players were using it as well.

Tips and tricks to get rid of writers block

Write very day and for a minimum word count, never deviate from that. Even if you don't feel like it. I find that writers that wait for inspiration never write. Sometimes, writing is just plain work. Sometimes it isn't!

D&D 5E Why (and when) did "Adventure Paths" replace modules?

I'm running my first adventure path and did so to get myself immersed in 5E. There are pros and cons. I like that it forces me to think in terms of a linear campaign, which I generally have issues with. It is also useful to have the encounters laid out for you. I do concede it takes time and...

D&D 5E Cleric vs Paladin: Concepts and Mechanical realisation

I've never really payed attention to the cleric class until 5E. There was something about how the edition presented them that I suddenly saw possibility, flexibility and ultimately interest. Mechanically, it is the group-buff, heal-bot still--but there somehow seems to be more texture and depth.

    D&D 5E First impressions last

Oh, answering your question. I think 5E has a great gnome and I'll bet everyone wants to play a Tiefling (sadly I haven't). As for classes, I love the druid art and the monk just is awesome.

Can anyone help a newbie group get started with P&P D&D ?

Definitely believe 5E is my favorite edition thus far and is very user-friendly. You will want the player's handbook, dungeon master's guide, and monster guide. You can also jump over to the SRD documents (Google SRD 5E and it will come up, I'm new so I can't post links) and get stripped down...
