    I agree. 1st to 9th get 3 partial advances and 1 ful level up = 4 x 9 = 36 levels, plus a zenith feat in 2e at 10th = 37 and it's one level per session.

    I loved 4e at the time, especially the addition of encounter powers and spells, but was fully ready to shift to 13th Age when I discovered it during its playtest. Each class having its own structure was a big plus and taking away the battle grid is something I didn't think I'd like initially...

    New 13th Age 'Escalation Edition' Coming Next Year!

    Foundry VTT has a really good implementation module. It's got the content of 13th age core, 13TW and the first Bestiary. Character sheet builds easily too.
