Taking in Lathir's counsel, Tam forgoes opening the last door (#3, FR).

When Tam hears what Lathir shares about the first two corridors, Tam hesitates to open the third. "Um, Lathir? Does that spell reveal what's behind this last door? Hearing about that acid fog has me a little nervous."

Tam: "No disrespect Lathir, I already opened this door (pointing down the passageway behind door #2,), and it goes down around 60 feet then goes left. There's a strange luminescent lichen or moss growing in it, though. So, we have foggy gas in one, glowing lichen in this other. I'm going to...

Tam opens the next door (FL/Door #2).

Tam pipes in: "I don't think we want to go this way. I fear that gas wafting around down this hall is not something we want to mess with." After saying this, he starts to move to the next door (Door #2).

Though Tam speaks and understands Elven, he keeps silent for the moment.

"Sure about what? You pompous axe!" "I was asking about the magic, not about traps."

Seeing what Lathir is doing to cover his nose and mouth, Tamartamlin follows suit. Doesn't seem to help much, but a little is better than nothing. At least the feeling to wretch has subsided by help of the covering.

"What died in here?" Tam asks as he pinches his nose with thumb and index finger.

Tam looks around at the party, "It's funny, but I must agree with you, Lathir. Does anyone really know what time it is?" Tam is suddenly concerned. It seems like it's been days instead of hours while they slept. Surely not, and yet...

"Good as any direction, I guess." Tam says.

Tam pipes in: "Rest!" --- and he immediately sits before the jeweled statue he recently tried to pilfer, stretches his legs out, crossing them at the ankles, cradles his hands behind his head, and leans back against the feet of the statue with a thankful sigh, shutting his eyes.

As Varl is speaking, Tam was beginning to climb the jeweled statue; but, when he states: "...better to leave them in their place and not remove them.", he groans in thwarted expectation as he slides off the statue.

Tam does notice that the hands and arms of the statue on the throne look as if they were presenting something to the larger sphinx statue before it. Was it a box? A coffer? Things to ponder.
