Free League Publishing Announces Acquisition of Coriolis RPG

I've been GM-ing half a dozen sessions in Coriolis the last couple of months. In my opinion, the darkness point system works extremely well. Players will want their re-rolls, but this gradually builds up a sense of doom among players, because of the amount of trouble the GM can cause...

[UPDATED] Here's Mike Mearls' New D&D 5E Initiative System

I really like the unpredictability this option introduces. However, having each player roll multiple dice for initiative each round will definitely slow down combat. A detailed initiative subsystem might be up Mearls alley but it's not what my game needs :) While on the topic of alternative...

    [UPDATED]What Is Project Riboflavin?

Lol, Ribo Flavin was the name of one of my first AD&D characters, in the late eighties. Spoiler alert: He didn't make it :)

Dropping to zero HP flowchart, is it helpful?

I agree. Will add this, thanks! It's comforting to know that there are more pedantics out there than just me. I actually started to lay out the flowchart as you describe, with all the binary choices involved. It turned out it was beyond me to make it both informative at a glance and correct...

Dropping to zero HP flowchart, is it helpful?

The mechanics in D&D 5e for handling unconscious creatures are a bit elaborate. So, in order to keep track of conditions and how to transition between them i created a dropping to zero HP flowchart. It looks like this: Is it helpful? Any way it could become more helpful? Thanks in advance!

D&D 5E Hope for an open GSL?

My two cents regarding 5e and licensing: http://www.enworld.org/forum/new-horizons-upcoming-edition-d-d/316434-show-me-you-license-please.html

    Show me you License, please.

I've played the game ever since 1e and been happy about all new editions up to and including 3.5e. Therefore, I was also very excited about the release of 4e. But after playing thirty sessions and buying five books, my gaming group gave up and switched to Pathfinder. That move felt like coming...

    Steampunk "primer"?

I see you've gotten many good recommendations further up in the thread. Some additions from me: I enjoyed Homunculus by James P. Blaylock. A strange, laidback and mystic sort of steampunk novel. Another nice novel, perhaps more fantasy and less punk, but still very heavy on the steam and sooty...
