    What's Your Price Limit?

I think this is the key point for me, too: like many people in the hobby, I buy more stuff than I read, let alone play. Theoretically, I can sustain my TTRPG needs completely from what I have in my shelves and on my harddrive. I continue to buy more stuff, but that's mostly because either I find...

John Kovalic Looks Back On Over Two Decades Of Munchkin

Even twenty years after I first played, I'm still a fan of Munchkin, and Kovalic's art is pretty much ingrained in my mental Munchkin image. I doubt I will buy the new box, though, because unfortunately, with three players (it's one of the games I play with my parents), the original game simply...

D&D General 70% Of Games End At Lvl 7?

Tend to agree. While we did have power level issues around level 11 or 12 in 3e, and I also found 5e to become less interesting even a bit earlier, the major factors for campaigns wrapping up or falling apart were rarely system-related.

Which Chips (or Fries) Are the Best?

This thread is generally really good at increasing my appetite for fries (of any kind) 😅 That being said, while I picked steakhouse fries, really most of them are fine (and crinkle-cut used to be the canonical fries for me for a long time because that's what we usually had at home when I was...

Mortal Kombat 2 - Official 'Uncaged Fury' Teaser Trailer (2025) and Mortal Kombat II | Official Trailer

Looks fun! Not sure if I will really go to the cinema, but I'm pretty sure I'll catch it on Blu-ray or whatever thing it's streaming on.

    Free League Year Zero Engine

First statement is true - Dragonbane and Symbaroum do have their own engine (d20 roll under), as has The One Ring. The second statement, however, is IMO only kind of true. It's correct that T2K has its own system which (mainly) uses two dice which go from d6 to d12, however, Free League has...

Tomb Raider RPG Cancelled For Creative Differences

I think Evil Hat even mentioned at some point that FATE is well past its peak, at least sales-wise. At least if I remember correctly, especially Blades in the Dark was selling well, and generally Forged in the Dark titles as well as PbtA stuff was doing ok.

Warhammer: The Old World RPG Offers A New Take On The Empire

I think I'll hold off on a purchase until its clear whether they also provide Foundry modules and what further books they have planned. But from what I have read so far, the lighter rule system sounds promising, and I'm tempted to give the game a try at some point.

There's A Diablo TTRPG (and boardgame) Coming!

A "Diablo Quest" game would be pretty awesome indeed! I would certainly be tempted to sink a lot of money into it - both for maps/scenarios and minis.

Ah! Sorry, then! I somehow thought you were referring to the CD page, from which it was removed.

    VTT/online-play Etiquette and Horror Stories

Pretty similar for me. I had one player drop without notice in a con game, and in our regular games, sometimes people forget to mute themselves while snacking something on the side (thankfully that's rather rare), but otherwise no specific online-play troubles. That being said, camera off has...

    RPG-style Board Games

I'd say, I beg to differ (when we play Euro games, the atmosphere is usually rather relaxed). But I will admit that, as a German, I might be biased 😄 This reminds me, though, that there is UltraQuest - an RPG-style board game by German indie publisher Flying Games (Shop, Board Game Geek). I...

Tomb Raider RPG Cancelled For Creative Differences

The short version is: Outgunned Adventure is a more streamlined version of the game that drops some of the more detail-focused rules of Outgunned (e.g. Outgunned:Adventure does have modifiers by distance for guns) and the focus of the book is also more on common tropes of the classic pulp...
