On a more positive note, I am the FIRST player/character to ever have an artifact in one of this particular DM's campaigns, so. Yeah. Yay for firsts eh? Lol.

Found out what it was today. Granted it took 2 weeks of travel out of the UD back to the surface and a few encounters but (surprisingly) no one died. Then went to a Temple of Deneir where 3 sages reside and not one of them could tell me what it was, so they pointed us to an elven sage in Cormyr...
