I don't think you can, Spreading Spores specifically says you can't use your Halo of Spores reaction while it is active. I didn't even notice that Spreading Spores is all creatures, not just enemies. Yeah, that is pretty rough since it can often instantly kill your zombie you just raised.

Of course they don't, but they should think about whether the player is going to have fun or not. I simply see a lot of unfun turns that go like this: DM: The enemy moves up next to you Player: I use Halo of Spores DM: It saves (because it's a CON save) Player: Oh... OK. Well it's my turn...

It's refreshing to see this. Too often online I read posts from DMs who think that they are dictators instead of just one player in the group. People who will kill off other's characters just because someone broke an unwritten rule of theirs, or did something that didn't fit in "their game"...

SS/GWM certainly increase DPR by more than the other option available, but whenever I see people discuss them being OP they do so in unrealistic ways usually. You aren't going to only fight enemies with 14 AC, you won't always have advantage and a +2 magic weapon in every fight. In real games...

Did Elven Accuracy make it into the racial feats? Is it changed from the UA? Also, is Shadow Sorcerer changed at level 1? The Darkness for 1 sorcerer point and being able to see through it, and the Strength of the Grave feature. Thanks!

You will have to take the War Caster feat in order to deal with the somatic components of spells. There is also some debate whether an arcane staff is the same as a quarterstaff, but if you take War Caster you can just wield a quarterstaff and have your focus/competent pouch as well.

By RAW it is number 2. The radiant damage is dealt in addition to other damage of the melee attack. "Hitting" with an attack has nothing to do with the attack having to deal damage, it simply means the character managed to pierce the defenses.
