    What year is it?

While kind of frustrating, this actually makes things easier. Thank you! :)

    What year is it?

I've searched and searched, and I can't figure it out. When you take into account the most recent adventures and reference books, what year is 5e in, basically? Context: I'm writing an adventure, and want to figure out where I want to set it, so I'm trying to figure out what cities are still...

    D&D 5E ForgedAnvil D&D 5E Character Generator

While I'm almost certain that this question has been asked before, I can't get the search to work correctly, so my apologies in advance: Are there any plans to allow creation of custom feats?

D&D 5E Multiclassing more than once per level?

Yep, pretty much! Call that first class "Recruit" or something, and set it up like Satyrn said. :)

D&D 5E Multiclassing more than once per level?

Yeah, this is the way to do it. Winner!

D&D 5E Multiclassing more than once per level?

Sure, he could go with that, too. :) I don't really have a horse in the race for which system he uses. ;) I figured I'd mention FATE since he was talking about story reasons for their skills.

D&D 5E Multiclassing more than once per level?

Savage worlds is combat oriented. It's more complicated than 5e, I'd say. FATE is character and plot driven. The Aspects concept was a little tough to wrap my head around (and seems to be confusing for most folks at first), but it's really nice once you get the idea.

D&D 5E Multiclassing more than once per level?

If you want something with minis that's close to D&D, I'd start with Savage Worlds, as Rocksome suggested. If you're looking for something that's oriented more towards character and plot, I'd recommend FATE. :)

D&D 5E Multiclassing more than once per level?

You might consider a completely different system, too. Something that's not class-based.

D&D 5E Multiclassing more than once per level?

You could also just start them at level 1, as that's generally considered to be "barely trained".

    D&D 5E Hireling Costs

That looks about like what I'm doing with an NPC guide for the next campaign I'm planning. (Guide, of the PC's level, but stays out of combat.)

D&D 5E Reach weaon and opportunity attack

Agreed. It mostly boils down to simplicity, overall. There's a ton of ways that OAs COULD be done (and have been), but it's all so much simpler now, and combat flows much more easily.

    D&D 5E Running NPC allies

I'm about to start up a new campaign where an NPC guide will feature heavily, as the players are travelling to a new locale where things are done very differently. My plan is to have the players hire him as a guide, but not a combat character, because that would be too expensive. At the start...

D&D 5E Which adventure are you currently running?

I just finished up Phandelver! Next session, I start them on the path to Zakhara!

Al-Qadim: Land of Fate (5e conversion)

Hello! I just found this thread, and would love to get ahold of the playtesting rules, as I'm about to send my players to Zakhara! Alas, I'm not allowed to make PMs yet. Quickleaf, can you PM me with details, please? :D
