I did decide on the one ring version. After years of reading over it and going "I just don't know if I really grasp this, and I know 5e..." I looked at both books again last night. All of a sudden I was like Oh I get it now..of course...yeah cool regarding The One Ring and 5e didn't inspire me...

It occured to this weekend that this game could have some truly amazing random tables, and either a huge number of races and classes or advice on how to build them to match what players want. I don't know how they are going to pull this off but I am now excited to follow along and see.

I saw where Glass Cannon announced their up coming campaign is going to be a Shadowdark game. I don't know if that is considered big or not. But I have generally enjoyed their non-pathfinder streams.

After reading some commentary on other games, I realize how much I appreciate the clear communication in Daggerheart and I really like the player best practice. Embrace Danger. That is what I want to run. The other best practices are great as well but Embrace Danger as #1 sets the tone for me.

I am tinkering with a pirate style campaign set in Greyhawk. With a Pirates of Drinex type twist where the players are given a living ship with the intent that they will disrupt ships from The Sea Princes. They will also have a small HQ in some lawless city that they have to maintain.

I for one miss they sound of the dialing up screeching sound and either getting kicked offline if someone called you or plugging the modem into the main jack so no one could call in. Esp with a roommate that could easily spend 80 percent of his waking hours online.
