    D&D (2024) "The Future of D&D" (New Core Books in 2024!)

    Hey, you guys can love and have fun with silly. D&D sales are doing great so whatever it takes to keep D&D going works for me. Just saying it's taken a serious turn.

    D&D (2024) "The Future of D&D" (New Core Books in 2024!)

    Exactly my point. 5 years isn't even pre 5E.

    D&D (2024) "The Future of D&D" (New Core Books in 2024!)

    I was playing when that came out. Words from a basic set that never got much, if any support.

    Level Up (A5E) How does 5.5e/6e impact Level Up?

    So far we like what we see. The name was originally going to be a place holder. What happened?

    D&D (2024) "The Future of D&D" (New Core Books in 2024!)

    D&D is going down a path my group and I just don't care for. Way too silly and safe. Not the end of the world because we just play it like we want and don't buy or use most of the new stuff. If you're reading this saying "what silly stuff" then you haven't been playing D&D very long. I have...

    Level Up (A5E) How does 5.5e/6e impact Level Up?

    My group said if 5.5/6E is neck and neck with Level Up and it comes down to a tough decision, we will go with D&D just due to the name "Level Up". Horrible name for a fantasy RPG.

    D&D 5E What We Know About Tasha's Cauldron Of Everything

    Never have been and never will be a fan of player and DM chapters being in the same book.

    D&D General WotC’s Official Announcement About Diversity, Races, and D&D

    No words and theme are easy enough to ignore and change. It's trying to change the game mechanics that I don't like. It starts with words then slippery slopes to rule changes.

    D&D General WotC’s Official Announcement About Diversity, Races, and D&D

    Race is actually the proper English word, not ancestry or folks. Our group stuck with D&D 5e vs the new PF2 because we play to escape reality, not to have social justice warriors screwing with the game system. So much for ever seeing Darksun for 5e.

    Keith Baker and Jenn Ellis working on a The Adventure Zone Tabletop RPG

    They are pretty much playing D&D so this makes no sense. Zero interest.

    90% of D&D Games Stop By Level 10; Wizards More Popular At Higher Levels

    There's a Kickstarter where the guy takes out all the spells that are almost never picked and converts D&D to 12 levels. Great idea on my opinion. My group of over 40 years has never gone past 12th level in our campaigns.

    Burning Questions: What Do New DMs Need to Know?

    Except for the tip about not having to know all the rules, these tips are for more experienced DMs who already got past the true first time DMing issues. Personally I wouldn't recommend a 1st time DM let the story go off the path. It's one more thing a new DM needs to juggle. The tips about...

    "DnDSports": Competitive Play With Prizes

    Sure there was a tournament scoring system if you really wanted to see how well your party did against other parties by comparing points but it wasn't head to head competition for money, that will be aired. Like a prior poster said, D&D isn't designed for esports.

    "DnDSports": Competitive Play With Prizes

    Started playing D&D in 1977 and this is totally not for me and in no way how I see D&D. But hey, if the young new players want this then knock yourself out. My friends and I benefit if this helps make the game more popular.

    News Digest: Evil Hat Scales Back Release Schedule, D&D Errata Announced, Star Trek Adventures: DS9,

    They need to make the ranger fixes official and move it from unearthed arcana into the PHB before I'm ready to drop money on a collector's edition. Hopefully they will do that for a leather bound edition of the PHB. That I would buy.
