Too Much Effort to Make New Characters?

This is baffling. Rolling up a new character is one of the most fun things to do in D&D, and it’s the consolation prize for getting your PC killed. I’ve always played that the new character has the same level/xp as the old guy, so there shouldn’t be any feelings about wasted progress.

D&D 4E Alas, poor Raknor - List your character deaths in 4e so far!

Dr. Jupiter Funkenstein, DDS. My level 4 Warlock was turned inside out by a faulty teleportation circle. Of course, I did this to him myself when I shifted from player to DM and I needed a convenient way to ditch my character.

    Stealth Flow Chart

This is pretty much how I've houseruled it, for the sake of simplicity and making sure the rogues turn doesn't last for 20 minutes. One of my favorite things about 4e is how its been set up so that everyone's turn takes about the same amount of time (via the removal of animal companions...

    Warlock Curse Question

This is how I've been using it, although I have no RAW justification to back me up. It just seems like it makes sense and is keeping with how I think a walock's curse would operate.

    Explain the Warlock to me.

Honestly, who really cares about a couple points of average damage when you can light someones mind on fire or make them walk off a cliff because they think they're covered with scorpions?
