    Thanks for ACE

I would like to see the roles from Domes of Thunder on the online character generator since I have just agreed to run that at #Northstar North Star – A Northern Sector Tabletop SF RPG Gathering

    Thanks for ACE

Thanks for A.C.E.. Seeing it at #Airecon2024 reminded me to get out the 3 I have, and I have just run the AAA for my 7 year old grandson. I have been a D6 fan since Ghostbusters, but it's been over a decade since I last brought any version to the table. It was a delightful return to a dear...

    Let's Talk About Solo TTRPGs

I grew up on T&T solos. I have recently fallen in love with the free Dragon Warriors solos from Red Ruin. The core rules are PWYW.

Oh good, I will try that this week.

Traveller: and interview with Marc Miller

Yes. D&D doesn't really have a life party path even now.. just enough to round out a character. It's a nice approach but not all games have to have it.

    Or run Symbaroum!

Edge Studio Midnight 5E - Campaign Sustainability

Symbaroum is similarly dark. As is A Song Of Ice and Fire. Yet these two have given us over five years of excellent, deep and satisfying gaming.

Please Just Play the Adventure (One Shots)

Give the players very clear goals. Then give them a context and obstacles to try and achieve those goals.

    Urban fantasy? (that isn't WoD)

The Rivers of London RPG from Chaosium will be along soon and expect a new version of the Laundry RPG eventually. Along with Liminal this is a trinity of urban fantasy/occult. I suggest that you might consider picking system and setting separately so you can roll your own. I'd like to explore...

    Generally Discouraged (In-Person Gaming)

We returned to face to face by running a Sunday group monthly. It took a while and quite a lot of little posters. But I live in a medium city of 500k right next to a small one of 150k. How about boardgames? Less scary?

DCC Level 0 Character Funnel is a Bad Concept

It's not your game, m8! A funnel isn't a bad demo for DCC, in that you have to embrace the chaos and expect to die, messily and often with no purpose. I really enjoy DCC and you don't have to use the funnel at all, but it's a wild ride and not for those who want a balanced min-max optimisation...

    Payn's Ponderings Traveller Editions

I really enjoyed Andy Slack's write ups of his Drinaxi campaign which has just finished. Interestingly he uses Savage Worlds. https://hws3.wordpress.com/category/campaigns/charted-space/ I often think of using Traveller when looking at other SF settings, I have the John Snead and Sarah Newton...

    Payn's Ponderings Traveller Editions

Just started my new Traveller campaign in the Trojan Reaches last night. Played and owned almost all editions save for T5. Really enjoy the setting, all the systems, and MgT 2e is my favourite.

They Came From Beyond The Review!

Oh thank you, I really want to get this read and to the table, I think I have players who would grok this.
