I do not say that is RAW or even RAI. I just said that makes more sense if you read it that way :p

Worlds of Design: Breaking the Fantasy Mold

Just to be pedantic, but only one of these is SOUTH American, the Inca. Mayas and Aztecs are from Central America or even North America, once there were Aztecs on Mexico.

D&D (2024) Sage Advice column is live

If you read invisible as "you cannot be seen" rather than "you cannot be seen in plain sight", the condition makes sense for hiding. So invisible is just a word to "not visible at that circumstances". The invisibility spell just make "that circumstances" be any circumstance.

What Show Should Have Only Had One Season?

This is the case with Lost. Damon Lindelof said once in an interview that some mysteries from 1st and 2nd seasons were not thought beforehanded, but just cast off as part of building a legendary. Troubles started to come when they needed explain that mysteries and retcon most of them in a messy way.

What Show Should Have Only Had One Season?

My trouble with X Files is that, in the first season, most episodes ended dubiously. There was an unnatural explanation of the events by Moulder and a grounded explanation of the same events by Scully. So you choose if you sided with Moulder or Scully. But after Gillian Anderson get pregnant and...

What Show Should Have Only Had One Season?

Good catch. X-Files, IMHO, should also have had just one season :ROFLMAO:

What Show Should Have Only Had One Season?

First season was the monster of week (sasquatches, strigoi, vampires, demons, ghosts, wraiths, witches, etc). Later seasons are more the demon that messed our parents' life and then the war between Heaven and Hell). So the first season, while the least focused, was the most fun just because that.

What Show Should Have Only Had One Season?

I completely agree with Heroes. Two more that came to my mind are Supernatural and Hemlock Grove. Also Once Upon a Time. While there are good episodes in later seasons, the show was never consistent in quality after the first season.

D&D 5E Which was the most recent Wizards adventure you consider a classic?

It is a matter of personal taste, but I dislike adventures in epic scale (the "Realms Shattering Event of the week"). Once most of the 5e adventures falls in this set, my personal classics are the adventures where, if players fail, the world is not being destroyed/reformated. I think the last...

You're approached by a Hollywood exec...

Forgot that lame movie (and bad acting) of Warcraft. Give me a miniseries (not a trilogy) about the fall of Arthas and he becoming the Lich King.

    D&D General You're In Charge of D&D -- 2025 Edition

Probably, in my hubris, I would attempt to turn the D&D more as I like it and alienating a significant portion of the fan base. So, I would be the worst person possible to take charge of it. Said that, I would empower more the DM and give 5e more knobs to turn to everyone attempt to use it as...

Dungeons & Dragons Teases New Campaign Settings

A significant portion of the setting is just about domain management and your divine bloodline plays an important factor on that. Some decades ago (I am feeling old just because this phrase) we did an entire Birthright campaign that forget adventures and such and concentrate exclusively in...

Dungeons & Dragons Teases New Campaign Settings

I love Birthright. One of my ever favorite settings. But the old grognard in me would "hate" the setting spoiled by tieflings, dragonborns, and gnomes (and I love gnomes... just not for Birthright). A new take on Cerilia most probably would introduce them to a place they not pertain. Just my...

Worlds of Design: Consistent Fantasy Ecologies

In most campaigns I do not use "physics", but many medieval misconceptions being true. Long story made short, in my ecologies there is spontaneous generation. There is no reprodution of insects. They brust from earth or trees. Frogs emerge from mud. Rats from filth. Why that creature is so deep...

D&D General How Often Should a PC Die in D&D 5e?

This. I am not actively attempting to kill the PCs. I throw them in situations I think they can handle. I do not expect they die, because all the potential troubles this brings to game continuity. But, if a death occurs, it occurs. No cheat.

    (+) A.I in general

This. AI is a tool and for some uses, it is an incredible useful tool. My concerns are how people use it to less ethical things, not the tool in itself.
