Yeah, when I ran it last night, the 18 AC was high, especially in formation with the guys helping each other with shield covering. We talked about lowering it as well at the table. thanks.

this is all very good folks, thank you very much. I had a try at running a home-brew tonight with some of the suggestions from the last few days, went pretty well, just need to tweak a bit of the group combat, but all in all, the group did enjoy it. I'll try to share some of the things I did...

I understand what you mean Zardnaar, I am not a PC guy that wants to clean up history, and I agree with warts and all, I will run it historically accurate, by no means making it 'clean' by today's standards, but I prefer also to have fun and make the players make their own decisions for...

Thank you Zardneer, I look forward to your input. I understand what you say about the expansionist state, but I also disagree with the slave state aspect. It does not need to be displayed as such. History can be displayed in the game, but there shouldn't need to be such an abundance in the game...

I feel that I can get the younger group I play with to really get into it. I was asked by the group to join...

Oh, well I don't know anything about that, I'll look into it, but if it's old, it's probably not 5e. I've been playing since the early '80's and have the books, the new guys like them, but so far they are all hooked on the 5e..

    D&D 5E Roman Campaign needs

I have a group of players interested in an Army campaign, I was thinking along the borders in the Northern reaches. I like to play almost 'true to life' campaigns, very little 'magic', only things like healing salves/poultices for healing, blessings from a 'priest', and poisons for dmg. Just...

    D&D 5E Roman Campaign needs

Hi, New here as of today, like what I see so far. I am looking for a source for 5e Roman Campaign, I've looked online but don't see anything I like. Is there anyone out there (here), that can lead me in the general direction? I can't see anything in the forum list, so if I have overlooked...
