Star Wars: The Acolyte starts June 4

‘What a pity that Bilbo did not stab that vile creature, when he had a chance!’ ‘Pity? It was Pity that stayed his hand. Pity, and Mercy: not to strike without need. And he has been well rewarded, Frodo. Be sure that he took so little hurt from the evil, and escaped in the end, because he began...

D&D 5E There's A Platinum Vecna: Eve of Ruin From Beadle & Grimm This Summer

To whom it may concern: I reached out to B&G to ask whether 'Nest of the Eldritch Eye' is included in the digital code. Unfortunately, it isn't.

D&D 5E Chains of Asmodeus: Official 286-Page Nine Hells Book & Adventure Released!

Interested in running this as a sequel to Descent into Avernus. Whithout asking for specifics: does the book address a scenario where players have succeeded in redeeming Zariel?

D&D General A friend of mine has joined A 5E Dnd Group, has decided to play A Robin Hood Style character and wants to know what people think of his character

While I understand your mate's reasoning, political legitimacy is of course a topic that's been subjected to extensive debate by philosophers. Your mate is convinced that a government can only be legitimate if the transfer of power from the previous government has been done in a legitimate way...

D&D General A friend of mine has joined A 5E Dnd Group, has decided to play A Robin Hood Style character and wants to know what people think of his character

Disregarding the Sheriff's legitimate authority isn't in itself evil, it's chaotic. Robin Hood is willing to follow the law as long as it is just. He's loyal to king Richard. But during prince John's regency, he rebelled against the lawful (albeit evil, self-serving) regime.

D&D General A friend of mine has joined A 5E Dnd Group, has decided to play A Robin Hood Style character and wants to know what people think of his character

A lawful evil character would see a well-ordered system as being necessary to fulfill their own personal wants and needs, using these systems to further their power and influence. Since Robin Hood breaks the law (albeit a corrupt one) in order to help the poor, this character would be neutral...

D&D General If A Baroness married A King and at least 2 children would the 2nd child be allowed to inherit their mothers title of Senior Baroness and her Barony?

I think you answered your own question. The GM creates the laws of the countries in their campaign world.

D&D General A possible reason why in A Earlier Thread The Earl didn't know that the women that the women that wanted to marry his son was A Future Queen?

The Future Queen hails from a country where emancipated women ask a prospective husband's father's blessing?

D&D General A possible reason why in A Earlier Thread The Earl didn't know that the women that the women that wanted to marry his son was A Future Queen?

I'm no public speaker, but isn't the recommended duration of a dramatic pause about 1-7 seconds?

D&D General PETITION: Acknowledge Hasbro's hurtful content (Black orcs, Asian yellow orcs, Native American red orcs)—through an Amendatory Bundle [+ thread]

IMHO, people gloss over the ramifications of changing a written work because of its nature. We are used to books being translated, and we're all familiar with the term 'lost in translation'. But would those same people suggest we edit visual art? One example that comes to mind is Les Comédiens...

D&D General PETITION: Acknowledge Hasbro's hurtful content (Black orcs, Asian yellow orcs, Native American red orcs)—through an Amendatory Bundle [+ thread]

On a side note: bad timing to start your petition. The recent news concerning Roald Dahl's work has been rather poorly received.

Where do we stand on Harry Potter?

While I agree that the character felt a bit forced/compulsory, the 'controversy' surrounding her name is somewhat far fetched. Sirona was a Celtic goddess connected to healing springs, while Ryan is a common enough surname of Irish origin, presumably originating from the Old Irish word rían...

Where do we stand on Harry Potter?

It wasn't my intention to give you this impression. I wasn't referring to you specifically, but to the current discourse on Twitter and the Steam forums.
