Wow - I imagine GURPS Dungeon Fantasy is a niche within a niche within a niche. I know this is a tangen, but what is awesome about that game? I have the Dungeon Fantasy Box and I'm curious but also sure it's to archaic for me.

This is interesting times. Critical Role shifting their main campaign from D&D to Daggerheart (presumably) and Glass Cannon shifting their main campaign from PF2 to Shadowdark is refreshing.

I have always been curious about GURPS. But the 1-second round has always turned me off. Something as simple as talking seems impossible in that system. On one hand I love the idea of all the granularity and simulation, but at the table I think I simply prefer much more abstracted systems. But...

Actually this is reply of a (former) PEG employee on a question on why the AP structure wasn't more "Savage World"-ified:

The license from Paizo didn't allow for PEG to alter the AP, it needed to be a straight conversion.

This was exactly what I thought when I first read it. But then the box "Unseen Attackers and Targets" talks about "...a target you can't see..." and even though it doesn't mention the Invisible condition, it would be reasonable to assumes that "invisible" would fall under "a target you cant' see".

I really can't see he problem here. All the designer taking part in 4e, has talked about how they were inspired in one way or the other by video games. I mean, I remember the days back then. MMOs were huge and "the new thing" back then. I could totally see how people at WotC looked at that and...

Oh geez, not you too, Chris Perkins. Edition warrior badge earned. Perhaps just accept people opinions on 4e differ? We can all have our own opinions about this without taking it so personally.
