Level Up (A5E) Two-Weapon Fighting clarification

Could you use Two weapon fighting to dual wield throwing daggers, activate Missile Volley and then use your bonus action to attack two additional times for a potential of 8 attacks?

Level Up (A5E) Two-Weapon Fighting clarification

That CM is strong on it's own. Thanks. It might be minor but I found Steam Forged - War Scholar - Student of Martial Arts which if you use a basic maneuver you gain an expertise die. Neat.

Level Up (A5E) Two-Weapon Fighting clarification

Thanks guys. Are there any other features that can be used beyond basic maneuvers in this way? I tried looking in the AG but I can't figure out the correct search term - "replaces an attack made on your turn" or something similar doesn't find anything.

Level Up (A5E) Two-Weapon Fighting clarification

Hello, Two-Weapon Fighting (p446, AG) indicates "If you have the Extra Attack feature, you can use your bonus action to make two attacks with the weapon in your off-hand." Does this mean that you still gain the benefit of two attacks using your bonus action even if you use one of your attacks...

Level Up (A5E) Arcane knight's reactive ward

I tried my best to read and comprehend the question. I answered where I thought I would be helpful. Perhaps I missed something. "are targeted by a spell" and "are the target of a spell" read differently for me. I read the former as being more general. Oh well, guess I will have to take a pay...

Level Up (A5E) What should the first Adept/Druid synergy feat give?

I am curious if said Demon made his saving throw and was pulled down 10ft? The image of missing an attack only to be pushed down and the demon "gulping" for a second is funny.

Level Up (A5E) Arcane knight's reactive ward

And, you and/or your allies could technically target you with a spell and you could use Reactive Ward to pre-emptively gain the benefit.

Level Up (A5E) Arcane knight's reactive ward

Please help me understand why you think it's so niche. Is this because many creatures no longer have spells but instead use "magical" attacks and abilities? There are about 40+ spells (sorry, this is an estimate from a quick scan) that meet this criteria for Reactive Ward. As an example, the...

Level Up (A5E) What should the first Adept/Druid synergy feat give?

As written, Whirlwind Kick can also be used to attack flying foes and "teleport" to a new destination. If you're a flying bear you basically have a spell that provides omnidirectional teleports. This spell gets better and better.

Level Up (A5E) What should the first Adept/Druid synergy feat give?

I find it difficult to compare these two spells as they offer completely different solutions. One is persistent damage (with restrictions), the other offers movement, battlefield control and some damage. Bear performing hurricane kick in a room seems solid to me.

Level Up (A5E) What should the first Adept/Druid synergy feat give?

This is already possible with Whirlwind Strike on a Skin Druid. Druid transforms into bear then casts the spell - as a bear! Fun interaction.

Level Up (A5E) What should the first Adept/Druid synergy feat give?

I think the feat as it is suggested is too strong. The feat feels sort of "Gestalt". However, I am very unfamiliar with either of these classes so this is just my knee-jerk reaction. My baseline are feats from the AG and the normal ASI.

Level Up (A5E) Spell or feat for A5E Druids to shift/resize gear for use in wild shape

Shifting into top gear. Autobots, transform and roll out! Not very useful, I know.

Level Up (A5E) Wildborne ranger spells

I don't see a problem with the spell. It's a strong spell and the condition scales. This spell synergizes with HEX which means teamwork with you and a potential Warlock. It doesn't have to be a creature on the ground which means you can ensnare flying creatures. There are no Ranger spells in...

Level Up (A5E) Removing Pointless Death (+)

@Retreater Have you considered scenarios where the players know upfront that it is very likely that they will die but the aim is simply to try to beat the game/dungeon/monster-of-the day? Similar to old school dnd which is argued as the genesis of the typical "adversarial" DM/player relationship...

Level Up (A5E) Removing Pointless Death (+)

I would like to believe that a new system would help you but given your death toll track record I think you're likely to find a new way to kill your players regardless of how hard it is. You can take a horse to water, you can't force it to drink. Good luck.

Level Up (A5E) Removing Pointless Death (+)

Life these days is busy. Busy for everyone. I really think the biggest impact at your table would add little to no time to your life: strategize with each other.

Level Up (A5E) Removing Pointless Death (+)

We have straight up inserted A5e monsters into 5e campaigns and they have worked wonderfully - Monstrous Menagerie is a great resource! It helps that we strategize as a group though and although we've had character deaths we haven't had a TPK in forever. We keep character intrigue close to our...

Level Up (A5E) Removing Pointless Death (+)

Thank you. I quickly looked up Wererat - CR2; 33hp; 12AC; multi-attack (2); bloodied (bonus action attack); um no sneak attack (D14/24 and A5e). One CR2 creature is a challenge for a level two party of four members - "A monster with a CR equal to a party's level is considered a...
