I really liked Athkatla.

I'd say it's good for the class flavour. Many abilities in B/X are situational or rarely come up, I think that's okay.

I use it quite some times, but it doesn't always help explain things. Might be in part due to where I live, though (Europe). I use the "a game like D&D" version, though, or "an old version of D&D" for OSR stuff.
