Sure, but that is not what they did up to 3rd level at least. Instead they took what was an interesting UA subclass and made it largely pointless in what they have released so far - just play a battle master. Hopefully it gets something more interesting at higher levels.

Lame and pointless. This looks to be following in the tradition of the first PDK as a subclass that will never be played, while PDK from the UA was innovative and fresh and would have been used. This doesn't give me a lot of hope that we are going to see interesting forward looking content...
