I would think the first episodes would be the least polished. Maybe jump ahead and see. I'm curious about it. This got my attention as I have never heard of them before. Good for them.

Darksun has several pillars and one of them is what isn't in the setting to help make it feel different. Sure their is a lot of unique and alien things to explore but your players handbook and all the other books you bought don't play as nicely as say an Eberron. There are no dieties, 1/2orcs...

I would think it has more to do with the exclusiveness of the setting and less to do about psionics.

not a super fan of it. I dont think it's as good as some of Elmore's classics. I do like the attire it just looks too stiff and not a fan of the straight on face of the dragon. Along with the copy paste feel of how the characters are positioned ( i know he uses photo reference for his poses}...

I dont picture kobolds bashing people with their rat like tails or roaring not a fan of this depiction of kobolds. Also, dont like that the dragonborn lost darkvision again. They just added it to them in the Wildmount book.

I guess I am confused a bit. Almost every one of wotc adventures have been heavy in dungeons.

Movie/TV scripts are heavily edited and actors change words all the time. If you're a writer and dont want your work being altered at all then self publish imo.

any they probably didnt want to add another race at this time. It also might not have been developed enough to warrant its inclusion.
