    Best Epic Dungeon/Adventure

IMHO 2nd Ed had a much better selection of epic dungeons and adventures than 3.5ed. Haven't played 4th Ed, so can't say anything about that. Adventures The Apocalypse Stone Die Vecna, Die Stardock Dungeons The Labyrinth of Madness Dragon Mountain The whole Undermountain setting

Do any of you still play 3.0?

3.5ed all the way, 3.0ed had way too many loophopes and not specified enough rules. The exploit potential was way to high in the early edition. 3.0 and 3.5 is of course quite the same, with only some erratas and better explanation of rules. 4.0ed on the other hand... yech! Ew!

Do you have any dice superstitions

If you already have a hot d20, never get more new d20ies to save more time when rolling multiple attacks. The old d20 will think you are breaking up and will punish you harsly by giving you multiple -1- at critical moments.

Use of Fabricate spell to create siege engines

Hey Aarondirebear, thanks for the reply. Consider my feedback below. In case of the story - making a ruling on this right now will stick for the rest of the campaign, and further ongoing adventures that we have with players, so yes, it is is pretty important to have fundamental rules set down...

Use of Fabricate spell to create siege engines

The case My players have reached the point in the adventure where they have roused a rebellion amongst villagers to put siege to the local tyrant. By the help of some 100 villagers they (the PCs) want to build siege engines by combining local labour with the Fabricate spell. Background...

    Immune to Dazed?

Take care of the following loophole though: A typical exploitable loophole here would be to have all undead spellcasters of a high enough level use the Celerity spells from PHB2. Said spells (which are cast as an Immediate action) and grant the caster either a move-, standard- or full action...

War in the 3.5ed Forgotten Realms

3.5ed and character level 18+ One thing I learned during 2nd edition was that wars between hundreds or thousands of creatures does sound pretty awesome! Hey, we've all seen the big battles from Lord of the Rings, Gladiator and Alexander, right? Which Dungeons and Dragons player haven't had a...

Ideas for a 20th lvl adventure in Asgard

Sounds good. See if you can plant some lore about the protective abilities of the linnorm scales. That way it's a bigger chance that the players will bring some of them with.

War in the 3.5ed Forgotten Realms

The second big war Fast forward from Mystara and enter Forgotten Realms, 2nd ed ADnD and the great Combat and Tactics book from TSR. The background We had been playing every weekend for about 2 years time. The players had worked their way up from level 1 to the high levels. Along the way they...

Ideas for a 20th lvl adventure in Asgard

Some of my initial thoughts.... (you've probably already come to the same conclusion, but hey) The first battle where they will be summoned - save time, don't bother running even a signle round of combat, just tell them that they were in a battle and the last thing they remember is a horn going...

War in the 3.5ed Forgotten Realms

    * anyone or anyTHING (religious or political belief) that the players have a personal interest and motivation to support * the end result of the war is to help create a memorable event that will have a long lasting effect on the campaign Note! The above is extremely open for personal...

War in the 3.5ed Forgotten Realms

Story time.... The background: I think the very first time I tried my hands at a campaign focused on war was in the old Mystara setting. At this time I was around 10 years old and had barely had a year of GMing under my belt. Still, I've been playing with the same group of friends during the...

War in the 3.5ed Forgotten Realms

As a GM, there's a few things that players will say that puts the chill in you. One of them is: "We want to start a war!" Right right, at low levels (1-6) this don't matter... "starting a war" at these levels will probably not exceed more than a village rebellion). At mid levels (7-13)...
