Awesome idea, i think I'll come back later with some sketches... Here's one already (granted it's old...) This one has a dragon - I think I tried going for facial spikes... umm yeah. :) Again, I'll do more later.

Yeah dark green with pale yellow gives a nice sickly feel to it - perfect for orcs. Also mix in pinks when you're going to do the nose. Er at least that's what I do.
